Gaillard graveyard remains determined to be African-American
The three dozen sets of remains found at the Gaillard auditorium construction site have been determined to be of African ancestry, filling in one important piece of a still emerging puzzle.

Oftentimes this is overlooked with the passage of time as demographics, building, progress, and advancement of the infrastructure. This would be great if these sites were left untampered through the years. Perhaps the remains can be relocated to a final resting place with all due respect.
Additionally, grave sites are still unmarked especially when genealogical research is attempted to locate persons from the past in a particular area when makeshift records were kept as best as possible.
