I have to laugh living in the south I see a lot of hispanic families .I tell you the truth they are nothing compared to living near red necks .Give a red neck a piece of property and with in a short time he will have depreciated it and his neighbors property thousands of dollars .He will collect every piece of junk car there is , and brag about how many pieces of junk cars he owns.He will have at least one dog tied up by a chain , usually hungry and having no water . He will not vaccinate his animals,He uses his porch to store old appliances ,and accuses his neighbors who mow their grass of being uppity .He yells at his family loudly and often ,he will skin the deer he just picked up along the road from a tree in his yard .Then throw the skin ,etc along a creek bank .His kitchen utinsils have doubled as a pooper scooper .He shoots his gun off his back deck many times .Thinks nothing of draining his oil on the front yard . cellophane wrapped around a car port is the place where he works on his junk cars of which he has about 8 ,all on a 1/2 acre lot . Yep give me a Mexican family anyday.

Why is it that everyone picks on the Mexicans? Does it really matter what color a person is? If you're one who actually bothers to look at the broad perspective in life, you know, "educated," you will see how the world as a whole has the good, the bad, and the ignorant.

For one thing, you don't sound like you've read a book in your life. You're the epitomy of why most Northerners think that people of the south are illiterate, stupid, and have never been educated in their lives. It seems pretty obvious that someone as yourself wouldn't understand that America is pretty much the world's melting pot. It would also be obvious that you wouldn't understand that America was founded from people from England. Guess what? That's another country! So basically, if we follow your rule, we need to go back to England, right? What if you're half Asian, half white? Where would you go then? Split yourself in half? What a mess. The thing is, it doesn't matter where a person is from. As long as you're legal, that's all that matters. You're going to have the bad from other countries; though, what about the good? You're obviously too blind to see that. You're head is stuck too far up your butt to see the light. Stop looking at the bad and start looking at the good. First of all, clean yourself up before telling others to clean up. Usually those who complain the most need some work on themselves.

What "we all" understand is that life happens. Get a helmet. The Irish can come to America and be just as illegal as any Mexican. I happen to have some very good Mexican friends who own businesses, pay taxes, and are very well kept in appearance as well as in their homes. I have seen many hispanics who are here illegally.They come to the free clinics for medical care. I have seen very few dirty ,their children are always clean.They are respectful and quiet , and unassuming, most of all they are grateful for any help. They are usually never rude even after waiting a long time ,they usually do not cop an attitude.Most come to this country to earn enough to get by .There are bad mexicans and mexicans who tend to drink to much,but not the majority.I have yet to smell an odor.Which is more than I can say for many others .Do I think we need immigration reform ,no I think we just need to punish the american industries and the US government for not inforcing laws .I worked at a health dept and we would have to make up social security numbers for these folks.Regardless they are living folks who feel pain ,joy, and worry about things the same as we do.They don't need more sorrow heaped onto their lives.It was not that many years ago.We were all immigrants .Folks looked down on the Irish and Chinese the same way.Is there a rule that says only Americans count ??Having said that I think we need to limit all nationalities to a certain extent we are currently letting a lot of Muslim , and Hmong into this country also we need to make sure that they have jobs and housing if they are going to come .One thing about Mexican folk they find a job one way or another doing about anything that needs done.

It is true that corporate America is to blame for the illegal immigration problem. If, corporations were held accountable, then most of the illegal population would leave through attrition. I am all for legal immigration, but as long as corporations are allowed to hire illegals the problem will only continue or worsen. The laws need to be enforced.
Also, I am from the south and I hold three degree's. Not everyone from the south is ignorant. Nothing is gained by putting each other down.

The comment I would make being from the North originally is,while it is true many Southerners are indeed well educated and bright ,there is a difference as I have been told by my southern co workers for years. Northern folks are painted as unfeeling and cold . I used to joke with them one could tell the northern employees from the southern , because it is the northern ones who are working .
I find a lack of appreciation for this beautiful state among its citizens. There is more trash strewn along its roads . More mobile homes than any where .More red necks with unkempt yards .
I live in an area that would make one understand why one should not sell lake front property to a red neck they will trash every thing they get a hold of . They don't appreciate this state or the beauty of it . I would say judging by some of the letters, a great many of them also hate Mexicans.

I see nothing wrong with mexicans coming and working in the USA but they should come in legal. I have no problem with anyone coming to this country as long as they do it legally. I don't care what nationality they are. This has gotten out of hand. I agree that corporations and industry should be punished heavily for hiring illegals. But it shouldn't stop there. Our government should be the first to enforce laws that are on the books that are being ignored right now. I think what is happening now is a slap in the face to the many immigrants that have come to this country and worked hard for years to be an American citizen. No one had to ask them to learn the English language...they were proud to do so. Many illegals have no intention of becoming American citizens ...they come and send the bulk of what they make home. That is why you find so many living in one house. I think the main thing about your post was that you worked in a health dept. and made up SS numbers for these folks. Did you not realize that just maybe some of the numbers that you made up would be a citizen's number? I can hardly believe that you are willing to admit it.
