I hope the kids will be okay. Glad none of them were killed.

Guess he didn't want to deal with the hassle of getting a ticket, his insurance going up, having to pay legal and civil costs, doctor bills, etc. It's amazing what people have to do these days to save money, just so that they can afford the gas to even drive. After all, they don't let you pump the gas until after you pay, so he couldn't pump and run. Second thought, after seeing the crazy woman screaming into the camera on the news this morning, and given the quality of the neighborhoods it happened in, can you blame him? If you hit someone in downtown newport news, would you stop and possibly get raped, robbed, carjacked & murdered, simply because some idiots didn't look both ways and walked directly in front of your car like they owned the road? Didn't think so.

We donít know what happened because some dumb a** didnít stop. First I saw the story on TV and I couldnít tell what kind of area it was. Actually the one or two houses they did show werenít bad. As far as how the person on TV was acting what do you expectÖdid you expect no emotions??? Far as anyone knows the drive may have been drunk or high. Also if the person that hit the kids was scared they could have driven around the corner or somewhere & called the police and told the police where they were and that they felt safer not stopping and waited for the police. I donít care how bad an area is that is NO FREAKING reason to leave human beings lying in the street!!!!!!!!!!
