Cutting off your nose to spite your face? Now imagine if every person boycotted an American business for political or religious reasons. The resulting unemployed might want the addresses of those people, for taking the bread out of their children mouths. That's OK you can blame the unemployment increase on the black guy. Everyone else has, although a Republican congress was right there blocking every jobs bill.
If we really wanted an all out political war we could refuse to sell anything to conservatives, run liberals out of our businesses and charge Independents twice as much for stressing our nerves. We could do that if this were not a Democratic nation but instead a collection of battling political and religious sects wanting to rule over the rest. We will self destruct soon enough, why rush it?
If the parties don't start working together for the good of all, not some Gold Card percentile, there won't be a nation left to rule or sell to foreigners. Even George W. Romney's aid is disappointed by the pandering that Mitt does publicly to corporations and the wealthy.
George would never have been seen with the likes of Sheldon Adelson or Donald Trump.(Mr. Adelson, a casino magnate, is a major donor to the super PACs that support Mr. Romney.)
*I've tried to track Mitt Romney's shifts - some 180 degrees others 360 -- on key issues during
the campaign. I've stopped at 30: abortion, stem-cell research; climate change and global
warming; campaign finance; and equal pay for women are just a few.
...the conduct of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign is a far cry from the kind of campaign and conduct, as a public servant, I saw during the seven years I worked in George Romney's campaigns and served him as governor.
"As you campaign, so shall you govern." That lesson from father to son, seems to be lost in the
win-at-any-cost fog of politics in the 21st century.

boycotting a restaurant and hoping to destroy someone's way to make a living because they served someone you don't like. How Christian of you!
