You need to meet the prosecutor on that case. Her father is a retired Lt. from this department. He was OK but he treated her like she was God. She never did any wrong. while I have not had any contact with her or seen her in years, she is the talk of the police departments here and in Newport News. She is really disliked by everyone yet she claims she will be the next coomonwealth attorney in Newport News. Better them than us.

For some time Rudy Langford has questioned the motives of the commonwealth attorney in Newport News, Howard Gwynn. If you believe only half of the comments made on this blog, it is clear that office is out of control. My neighbor was on a jury last year and she said the two prosecutors were questionable but still voted to find a guilty verdict. Nothing good is said about that office and the people who work there. Rumor has it that Mr. Gwynn is overwhelmed with personal and family issues and allows his assistants to run the office. To get more money or funding for the office they want nothing but numbers, numbers and more numbers. Perhaps we need to create a citizens rewiew committee to look into the operations of that office. Some believe hundreds of thousands of dollars could be saved. The mayor needs to set aside his friendship with Mr. Gwynn and demand an accounting from that office. Look at the problems the sheriff has created; do we want more of the same? Ask Mr. Langford for his opinion and create a panel of citizens, lawyers, police officers and others to investigate that office

Prosecutors don't testify, that's the witnesses job. Now step away from the crack pipe and maybe you'll learn something

You may be next on their list whether you deserve it or not. Maybe your perspective will change when you are in the hot seat then you can spend all your money on a lawyer to get you out of a mess you should not be in.

I highly doubt that, as I don't do/sell drugs or spend my time gang-bangin' or associating with those who do. I really appreciate your concern, tho.

In Newport News most of the prosecutors are not looking for the truth, they are only concerned with getting a conviction. As a deputy sheriff I see it every day and with a few exceptions the judges allow them to do what they want. The leadership in our department and in the commonwelth's attorney's office is criminal. Two of the chief deputies attorneys need to be removed.

Do not forget Mr. Gwynn. He needs to be removed, he is too busy dealing with other problems in his life.

This young man is very innocent i sat in on this court case. It was like a big zoo. They prosecutors had people to come and testsify when really it's twins and they really couldn't tell them apart if they were together. It was one of those cases that the wrong doers where set free and they other two was not. But the courts are jacked up because it's about money, what you can get, and who you know. They don't care about if they lock the innocent up because they will get recognition. They jury was not experienced nor ws the lawyers. A jury member fell asleep and they judge was not even paying any attention. So therefore they had it set what they were going to do. So a person can kill and don't get this much time but the innocent does. Stop passing judgement when you don't know the person personally.

He is not a criminal you don't even know him. It's said how one can read something in the newspaper, but don't even have all sides to the story. So what do you have to say when the police beat innocent people because they have a record. And they are not prosecuted because they have people to lis for them what do you say to that. stop believing everything you read unless you knoe him personally. I was there in court. Thank the commonwhealth for letting the real criminals go.

The justce system is corrupt. It's very sad. Stop complaining about the crimes and build something or provide felonies a second chance and a job. Help them to get educated while in prisons. Locking a person up and allowing them to sleep is not teaching them. The system is jut screwed up. Everyone wants recognition. It's lies, corrupt, prejudice, and a money thing.... I do know they are innocent i have the paper work to prove. So if you think it's swept under the wrong it's not everyday i do more research and find more info prving there innocence. So commonwhealth it's not a good look to have people perjure themselves so you can win a case. The truth will come out. What you do in the dark will come to light. O another thng the gy's who you say desrve time they don't come from a broken family. We are well educated. God will fix this

Not a monster?? I would HATE to see exactly WHAT she thinks a monster is. Even the defense attorney tried to put it off saying that the witnesses weren't "credible". And THIS trash IS credible? REALLY?? What rock did THAT lawyer crawl out from under?
The same rock as that female prosecutor who needs a hair cut. I found her to be extremely offensive when I heard her talking in the hall. A rock could have convicted Mr. Broward who deserved every day he got by the jury
I agree. He is trash and so is that prosecuor with that dark hair and is always offensive. She doesn't reflect well on the prosecutors office. Fire her like you have done to others in that office
