In the city of Hampton you have seen the Motor Scoter run around the streets of Hampton. The first thing that will get you attention is how they position them self in traffic. They will operate in the middle of the road, cut you off and they are running at speeds above 35 MPH. They have no helmet on which is required by VA State Law. I have call the police and they even ask if I got the license number. This statement by the police should tell you a lot about the Hampton Police and the Chief of Police. The Mayor office has told me that they have told the Hampton Police to crack down on the offenders. That was 30Days ago and this tells me that the chief of Police does not give a dammed to fix the problem.
Just to remind you that the operators of this Motors Scoter are not required to title and register them they do not pay for tags, personal property or license to use on the road in the city of Hampton and do not have insurance to operate on the road.
I got the attention of a Hampton Police Office last week and the reason was a Motors Scoter next to the police car and was in the middle of the road not to the right side where he should be driving and no helmet. I ask him did he even see the Motors Scoter. He replied yes! I then ask why he did not pull the Motor Scoter over and he said for what. I then ask did you get the word from your higher up to start stopping them for breaking the law and his reply was what law. I just look at him and walk away. He then ran over to me and asks way I’m question his job and told him to read the law then gets back with me. I have his man and badge number and will give this to the Mayor Office.

Why do I have to have a license to drive a car, if the guys on a scooter don't need one?
Why do I have to have insurance, if the scooter guys don't need it?
What's the use? The cops won't do anything, but if you go down Settler's Landing Rd doing 26mph, watch out.

Sounds to me you need to go talk with CSB. How do you find the time to worry about stupid scooters? Police go call to call and do not always have time for the little stuff.

The worst place I have ever been in Hampton is Big Bethel Rd to the county line. How you people down there take these idiots on mopeds that sound like weedwackers is beyond me. And then there are the licensed motorcycles. They ride parallel in the same lane. Reckless. Also, they use events that raises $$$ for causes, as an excuse to pollute the 7 cities. Cops are afraid to stop motorcycles for some reason. The ones I see are 59 years old and look 79.

James, read HB 97, this bill was passed and went into effect July 01, 2012. Motorcycles are now allowed to ride two abreast in the same travel lane. Vermont is now the only state this is not allowed in.

2 abreast is what I meant by parallel. Also, they bikes smell. The licenses plates look like they were bought at a thrift store. I say, letem all crash.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Aries

Someone is being very informative and helpful, especially if you want them to explain something that you don't understand, so listen carefully to what they tell you. This is also a great day for making some travel plans, perhaps by arranging to visit a friend you haven't seen in a while or by discussing where you should take your next holiday.
