It's nice to have a look at who is out there Serving & Protecting. If I should need a police officer, I sincerely hope Rashad does not show up.

Why was this police officer not charged with assault on the animal control officer?

What is going on? Another one bites the dust. NNPD needs an overhaul immediately starting from the top. This means someone from the outside of Virginia and not another good ole boy to come in and sweep things under the rug beginning with the assistant chief Moore who covered up the DUI wreck of the recent officer charged with domestic violence!!!! She should be fired along with the others who can't obey the law!!!!

The quotes from Brown are only as the animal control officer gives them. Wait for his side of the story. I have seen many a person misquoted in the paper and in court. Please remember, everyone has been more than happy to down the police officers in this city. Now we have an animal control officer (also a type of law enforcement officer) making accusations against another law enforcement officer, I wonder which side all the cop bashers out there will choose when the whole story does come out?

The dog was apparently very well trainied at the admission of the animal control officer. Brown obviously spends alot of time with his dogs. More than I can say for a lot of people.

Oh my GOD! Is this ever going to end with the NNPD? What kind of screening process do they have before someone is allowed to become a police officer? This is scary. I'm freakin out now when I see a NNPD car. Is it going to drive over the median and hit me because the cop is drunk? Is he / she going to jump out and start blasting away because he / she is unhinged? If I need help, will I actually be able to walk up to a NNPD cop and ask for help without getting a beating?(Actually,,I did ask a NNPD female cop once to attend to a broken traffic light which was going to cause an accident, but she was too busy eating a sandwich so she ignored me!- I'm not making that up!).

His side of the story? His story is that he is a piece of @$#% and should be removed from the street and the department. At the very least he should be beaten with the same stick that he beat the dogs with. I know several officers that work with him that would be glad to do it.

"He stated ... that it is not against the law to beat your dogs or kids in Virginia,(and that) he knows this because he is a cop," said the complaint, filed by Newport News Animal Control Officer Angie Gromlich.

I sure hope this guy never is around any children.

Rashad is a piece of poop. If he treats his animals this way, he would treat citizens this way. Cops have long been above the normal laws because they live by their own laws. I used to trust cops, but not anymore. They all lie!

Well I don't think it should be against the law to beat your husband sooooo thats 2 female citizens and 1 female married to a NN deputy and one female NNPO that should have records expunged however, the NNPO will have to own up to the DUI she went under the radar on!!

They let these people be cops. This is the way he treated another officer? If I let my dog do the same to a cop, he would have shot my dog and arrested me for threatening a police officer. He should lose his dogs and lose his job. If you have been arrested by this dog beater than you need to fight it in court. Cops should not be above the law. They need to punished more harshly for the same crimes they are supposed to protect.

I can't believe he thought it was LEGAL to be able to beat your animals and children. I hope he gets some good jail time so someone can retaliate on his a@@!
