Kool Smiles making some parents frown

something isnt right about that. a three year olds wisdom teeth wouldnt have even begun to develop. you need to look into that.

Went to Kool Smiles in Newport News, VA at the Warwick and Denbigh location and I must say that this place is a rip off and scam. Took my 8 y/o son in for some chipped teeth. Was told that my son would need a root canal and $300.00 out of pocket procedures. Took to a reputable Dentist and was told that a root canal suggestion was absurd. Only needed a cap, nothing else.

Children ask many questions while receiving treatment but after a while the dentist doesn't have time to deal with that. Enough is enough already. Some kids would talk your ear off not al lowing you to get any dental treatment done. Dennis

We went into kool smiles in Hampton and the place smelled like urine. Waited for 15 mins and heard kids screaming in the back without parents.

Grabbed our paperwork, tore it up and ran out.

The sign out front should read "ghetto smiles".

I agree with you 100% I started this forum. I have started this whole news and everything bout kool smiles. They are horrible.

Cool smiles capped Crowned my daughter`s teeth alllll of them they didn`t even leave one white and the worst thing is they didnt put nothing to nume her only this little gel and they tied her to a board so she wouldnt move she was crying she was only 3 years old and she didnt have that much cavaties only like 3 but for her teeth all to be capped wasnt good she`s seven know and she bleeds from her gums a lot couse of those things and say that her teeth hurts don`t know what to do and her friends make fun of her teeth.......

Yes , so that you can totally interfere with the progress the dentist is making without you being in the room. You're supposedly going to someone who is a trained expert to do a job yet you think your presence somehow makes a positive difference. Screw you, you nagging incompetent parent.

dental checkup is very necessary.nowadays there are number of dental care which provide us with whitening, implant etc. they provide special care for children and everything is done in front of their parents.

wimpering patients: No, no, no. Parents MUST be allowed to be with the child. In fact, the dental clinics that prohibit parents have been scamming Medicaid by doing unnecessary dental work. Small Smiles did this, and so did the Tish Ballance/DeRose clinic in North Carolina.

maryann: Look up the Ballance/Derose clinics in North Carolina and what they did. Ask for the X-Rays.

Watch out for the billing system, make sure they accept your insurance. One day they do the next visit they don't. I got a bill three years later.

Yes it your right, your son is only three (3) he is very young to be on his own you need to challenge this whoever whatever policy kool smile made up, this may be done at other kool smile offices to other children and it your right to be there with your son anything could happen, you should still investigate this policy of not being there with your young child, and you are not in their way, unless there is something to hide

A three (3) year old have wisdom tooth, something very wrong here, whatever papers you sign I would ask for a copy of the procedure that was done, don't let them scare you or put your name on a watch list, or write their head office for a copy of their policy, probably insurance fraud or someone don't know what they are doing, something very wrong here
