In the Hpt area, no big time names are in the pros

I agree somewhat. The top baseball pros are from Hampton Roads.We produce ok college 'Football' players who play for 1-AA, a few at VT, CNU, UVA,etc, that's it.
Curry was a far below average pro NFL, as Vick is avg to 2nd string. Kirby had a good career and 1 or 2 others. Dwight Stephenson and Chris Hanburger, Norm Snead were the best as Mel Gray. Lawerence Taylor(convicted sex pedophile-removed)is disqualified. Other than those few, yes, you are correct, it is now a pro-MLB hotbed.
