Hey Ron, no you don't. He worked for a private employer, not for you. Just chalk it up to one of life's mysteries. Or see if you can get one of the other channels to do an in depth investigation. I feel the issue is eating away at you.

Wavy is not the same without Les, they just seem to let the great ones go, the news is not the same without that smiling face on the screen. We miss you Les, God Bless you in whatever you plan on doing in the future.

Les, sorry to here you left WAVY. It's been my favorite since I've been in the Hampton Roads area, more than 25 years. Since that time you have been my favorite Anchor. Don't know the details of your departure/resignation, but nonetheless, I wish you the best and hope to here from you or see you soon. Best wishes and God Bless!!

I was watching their 50yrs look back and there were no clips of him and it crossed my mind "that was strange" only to find out that he left the station under mysterious circumstances. Just goes to show that there is absolutely no loyalty from employer to employee. He worked his A** off for them for years and this is how it ends? I bet they didn’t even give him a gold watch.

Hey Alan, I'm surprised he wasn't on there! That is a shame! He was a large part of & awesome 4 WAVY! Velveta probably wouldn't let them. She gave Lisa Joyner Keri Fury (then Matson) a hard way to go & not so nice off camera...@ least the 1 day when I saw her at ORF.

Actually who I would really like to see on the air again with her effervescent smile is Cynthia Lima. But she just had to get married to that navy admiral and move to Hawaii.

yeah, Lima was cute. Thought she was WVEC 13. I still can't believe WTKR 03 fired everyone. John Castlebury was a great local sportscaster! He made WAVY's Raider # 2. His wife, Carolyn Castlebury didn't leave WAVY long after.

Thanks 4 sharing the thoughts on the WAVY 50! Wasn't it a one time show? I wonder who else they left out now.

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Libra

Going shopping today? Then don't be surprised if you splash out on items that are that little bit different from your usual purchases. For instance, if you set off for the supermarket you might end up buying lots of exotic ingredients so you can experiment with them. This is unlikely to get out of hand unless you're feeling bored or fed up, in which case you'll want to spend your way out of your current mood.
