Anyone can get on topix and post what they think are facts . Why dont we just hear both of them out. The issues with school system need to be fixed . All this talk about.the first family really ? Mcclains are already in the school system they do a great job. Mark will never be able to coach or teach in CC. Since you know so much about the school system Who decides on the hiring and firing?

Yep I agree anyone can get on here and say anything and your probably part of or one of their pawns of the First Family since you think the McClains do such a great job. Whether Mark ever teaches or coaches in the school system remains to be seen. HE does want to coach again at the high school. As far as hiring and firing goes the director of schools does all that, according to a supervisor that works there.

Crain has my vote. He seems to truly care about the kids and our school system. A lot has been wrong with our school system in the past and you can't fix everything overnight. Sometimes we are too quick to judge and we really don't have all the facts about the inner workings and efforts to correct the problems. Everyone is not going to like everything or agree on how everything has been done; however, I can tell you one thing he (Crain) takes a lot of his own time and most would not devote that much effort unless he considered it to be very important and worthwhile.

I agree! Kelly Crain has my vote as well. The McClain run of Carter County is OVER!!!!!!!!

Crain has always been for the best intrest of the children, he is the only candidate in my book!!! I went all through school with Mr. Mckinney, and he, just like his cousins the McClains, was a stuck up, and thought he was so much better than anyone else. Read his article in the newspaper just today, it failed to mention his short lived stint as a Carter County Deputy...Not judging, I sure couldn't be a cop, but, looks like he found out quick, he wasn't as big and bad as he always thought he was. So, no, even if he were the only one running, he wouldn't get a vote from me. As far as getting Mark Mcclain's job back, not that they wouldn't pull such a hairbrained scheme like that, they would if at all possible, but, to my understanding, wasn't his teaching license revoked by the state? May try to sneak him in as an assistant coach or something, but don't see him teaching, don't know how in the world he finished college and was able to pass the state exams to teach anyway, but thats another story!!! He doesn't need to be around children at all! He has serious issues, he didn't see himself as an adult while teaching, he just thought of himself as one of them, he never taught those children anything, when class would start, he wasn't interested in who did their assignments, or homework, he was just interested in who was dating who, who had broken up, what he said/she said...and of course what outfits the girls were wearing each day, it's kind of sad really, here First father did hand both sons an education and jobs others could work for decades and not have, they had it threw in their laps. But of course, Bob, if anyone, should have known Mark couldn't handle it...I do apologize for getting totally off subject, but, Kelly has my vote for sure!!!

Would it be a bad idea to seek the Lord when voting for a public official? I have heard several things about Mr. Crain, Mr. McKinney, and the McClain family. Ask yourself a few questions before you are so swift in judging and stating these opinions. Many of these statements I have read appear to be in the past. So is it possible that there has been some renewing of the mind through Jesus? Please read Romans 12:2. And there are several statements that have been made that are judgements towards the three parties involved. Please read Matthew 7:1-3. And I feel sure this post on Topix will be ridiculed. So be it. Please feel free to pray for each candidate and pray for your direction in which way to vote.

Can the school board afford to build a bigger meeting room? No! Mr. Crain has done a great job in his first term of office. If his opponent were to be elected, the podium would not be big enough to seat Roy Lee, Johnny J., and Bobby M.

1st of all I would like to say that I know both ppl very well. Mr. Crain will be getting my vote and all of my family will vote for him. If anyone of you have even stepped into Valley Forge elemantary or Little Milligan then you would see what all he has done for our schools. It takes someone like Kelly Crain to get the job done, and this is because he CARES! not because someone is paying for his campain, The McClains cant take the fact that they are not in complete control anymore in this county so they are getting a relative to run, Jarred Mckinney is also a good person, but he is the WRONG man to be on the school board. Do the right thing people and vote for Kelly Crain you will not be dissappointed.

Oh come on LP & NM if you all havent visited our high school campus (HHS) then you need to. Very proud of the school changes that have taken place on and inside of all the schools in our area--VForge LMilligan HAMPTON HIGH & Elementary. All the schools have been helped by Kelly Crain. He has done an awesome job and will get all my families votes! I have needed his help on issues a few times in the last couple of yrs and he has been right there and eager to help. Ive seen him at about all the fundraisers for all the schools. He gives back to the kids so he is THE RIGHT ONE for the job. GOOD LUCK TO HIM AND YOU HAVE MY FAMILIES SUPPORT!!

True, however, those schools are in Mr. Crain's district, therefore he works hard for those schools. If you are wondering why the one's in your district aren't getting the same maybe you should ask your board member why, or when it's time to re-elect, think about who you vote for!
