Public hearing on FY '13 budget engenders strong reaction from community
The Carter County Commission's Budget Committee conducted a public hearing to gather input from the community on next year's spending plan.Most of those who went on-the-record Monday night communicated a negative reaction to the proposed budget, which includes a six-cent increase to the county's certified property tax rate.
