I just moved into a lovely mobile home in knightsville with a half acre for a fron and back yard. it is beautiful and peaceful. when asked where i was living now i told someone and the response was that of being appalled! I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on the knightsville area of summerville. anything would be appreciated!

I am not sure why anyone would be appalled at the idea of living in knightsville. It used to be considered the "boondocks" but then so was Summerville before it was rediscovered. There are parts of Knightsville that have some extreme poverty but I have never known of any huge crime problem, etc. I hope you enjoy your new home!

I live in Knightsville. It is a nice place. With all the new houses coming in it doesn't feel like its the middle of nowhere anymore and I have live here all my life.

There is nothing wrong with Knightsville itself. It has many great people but it is a very sheltered area with alot going on. Remember it is a dead end street with a dock at the end. That is where it is all happening. It has been used as a dump site and much more. I lived there and I found nothing but the best of friends. When we moved there it did not even have a CRIME WATCH. Like everything else it is what you make of it. Its a good ol boy area.

I would think someone with the last name of KNIGHT founded the place more recently...Probably founded by Creek Indians or another tribe before the Knight family.

My grandfather was a Knight from Knightsville and I've been trying to find some history. I've been able to go back as far as Thomas James Knight born in 1800. Can't find anything before that. Do either of you have anything earlier?
