Worst written article ever. So, a Dept. Head is accussed by an employee of a couple of months of assault but the subordinate decides "hey, it's been a couple of months, I need a vacation. Officer Mindez can I get a place marker and pick this assault charge up about a year from now, Ol' boy?". Sure, we'll just put the Dept. Head on leave for a year and oh yeah... don't worry about your job 'cause we are going to put your Father in charge. Bottom line, acting Sewer Head, who continually complains about Seabrook is now guilty of nepotism has hired his son back inspite of the fact that he was involved in an altercation with his superior in a couple of months than went awol for a few more. Never ever did I picture myself asking for Warner back. Good job selectman and town manager.(sarcasm)

It;s just typical of seabrook to get mad at someone who has a college degree to get trashed for just going to work and gettin strangled by a boss.You say nepotism how many certain family member has relatives working for the town? He went awol? Didnt know he was in the service. Just to bad alot more people working for the town aren;t as qualified and good mannered as he is. I guess they want him like W.K step grandson. Wonder why he aint working anymore, maybe a flunked drug test. W.K did it to himself and it is no ones elses fault. If W.K laid one hand on my kid and i am sure alot of people feel the same way he would of been on the ground. Ant parent would protect their kids and i wonder if it would be ok if it was their kid who got strangled. W.K is a good guy but he thinks he can put his hands on a employee he is wrong and the court system will do what they have to do. I whish W.K the best of luck but you just cant do what he did.

I see nothing wrong with the way the article is written. It states the facts accurately. It is the facts that some can't come to grips with. In this particular case the 3 Selectmen and TM came together and agreed on the right decision. Work place violence or any other violence is no longer accepted in society in this country, 3 decade employee or not. He made a poor decision, didn't maintain self control and unfortunately suffered the consequences. A Judge will now render his decision. I imagine the town is fortunate not be getting sued by the victim for being subjected to such treatment in the workplace. I don't know where everybody else works but it's pretty clear in my mind that if I go to my job and assault another employee, I expect to be and will undoubtedly be fired for it. There are some things you just can't do!

It's a funny thing the way some people can justify (in their minds) wrongdoings when it concerns either themselves or someone they know and like. I think a good point was made when asked "How would you feel if it was your child that was assaulted" I think he's lucky to only be charged with simple assault. I don't know what is simple about strangling someone, you can kill a person by strangling them. He's lucky he's not being sued personally. He's had a lucrative career as a department head for many years and should be fortunate for that. He's done. A judge will take 2.3 seconds to decide this case. It is cut and dry to a judge.

Sounds to me like the judges already have decided. I missed the spot were there was a decission in this story. Under no circumstance would a reasonable person hire back 1/2 of the equation. I don't even see where this job was posted either. It sure sounds like nepotism to me. I for one certainly will not support Kelly and the status quo.

A decision was made by the top leaders. He is not simply on leave, he was terminated unanimously. That's a fact. The job certainly was posted and the applicant with the highest qualifications was selected and that is also a fact. As I said previously, some just don't like the facts! Opinions vary and there's no changing the thinking that's out there. The Sewer dept. is better off than it was a year ago. Good reliable, competent, conscientious and accountable staff members that actually care about doing a good job for the Town. Hopefully you can take some comfort in that at least. I see nothing wrong with hiring relatives or even friends as long as they meet the required qualifications and are held to meet the same level of job performance criteria as everyone else. This town is full of family. You would have had to work there in the past to know the level of dysfunctionality that used to exist. Someone could have written a book about it or even a movie!

OK NoNep, we shall see. You're his favorite now but once his boy moves up the ladder you'll be complaining. It will be to late. This guy cost us millions in his experiment with dissolving solids alone.

It is written;
For the LORD will judge His people
And have compassion on His servants
For by fire and by His sword
The LORD will judge all flesh;
And the slain of the LORD shall be many
Judge not that you be not judged
For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged
and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye
but do not consider the plank in your own eye.
Or how can you say to your brother, Let me remove the speck from your eye and look, a plant is in your own eye? HYPOCRITE!
FIRST REMOVE THE PLANK FROM YOUR OWN EYE, AND THEN YOU WILL SEE CLEARLY TO REMOVE THE SPECK FROM YOUR BROTHER'S EYE.

IT IS WRITTEN
BUT WHY DO YOU JUDGE YOUR BROTHER? OR WHY DO YOU SHOW CONTEMPT FOR YOUR BROTHER? FOR WE SHALL ALL STAND BEFORE THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST. FOR IT IS WRITTEN: "AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS TO GOD." SO THEN EACH OF US SHALL GIVE ACCOUNT OF HIMSELF TO GOD. THEREFORE LET US NOT JUDGE ONE ANOTHER ANYMORE, BUT RATHER RESOLVE THIS, NOT TO PUT A STUMBLING BLOCK OR A CAUSE TO FALL IN OUT BROTHER'S WAY.

IT IS WRITTEN
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of CHRIST, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing, therefore, the terror of the LORD, we persuade men; but we are well known to GOD, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.
For judgement is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

THE WICKED MAN
A worthless person, a wicked man,
Walks with a PERVERSE MOUTH;
He winks with his eyes,
He shuffles his feet,
He points with his fingers;
Perversity is in his heart,
He devises evil continually,
He sows discord,
Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly;
Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy.
These six things the LORD hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to HIM:
A proud look,
A LYING TONGUE,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A HEART THAT DEVISES WICKED PLANS,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A FALSE WITNESS WHO SPEAKS LIES,
AND ONE WHO SOWS DISCORD AMONG BRETHREN.

IT IS WRITTEN
A good man obtains favor from the LORD, But a man of wicked intentions HE will condemn.
A man is not established by wickedness, But the root of the righteous cannot be moved.
The thoughts of the righteous are right, But the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.
The words of the wicked are, "Lie in wait for blood." But the mouth of the upright will deliver them.
The wicked are OVERTHROWN and are no more, But the house of the righteous WILL STAND.
THE WICKED IS ENSNARED BY THE TRANSGRESSION OF HIS LIPS, BUT THE RIGHTEOUS WILL COME THROUGH TROUBLE.

IT IS WRITTEN
NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER, AND EVERY TONGUE WHICH RISES AGAINST YOU IN JUDGMENT YOU SHALL CONDEMN. THIS IS THE HERITAGE OF THE SERVANTS OF THE LORD, AND THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS FROM ME," SAYS THE LORD

Wait on the LORD;
Be of good courage,
And HE shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the LORD!
PSALM 18 1-3
I will love yYou, O LORD, my strength.
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
my GOD , my strength in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.

IT IS WRITTEN
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise agains me,
In this I will be confident.
One thing I have desired of the LORD,
That will I seek;
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD

PSALM 28 7-8
The LORD is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in HIM, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise HIM.
The LORD is their strength,
And HE is the saving refuge of HIS anointed.
Save Your people,
And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
And bear them up forever.
The LORD will give strength to HIS people;
The LORD will bless HIS people with peace.
PSALM 39 39-40
But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; HE is their strength in the time of trouble.
And the LORD shall help them and deliver them;
He shall deliver them from the wicked,
And save them, Because they trust in HIM.
