Is there anything more American than baseball and getting caught drinking after Prom? There's nothing like stringing your parents along for four years with good behavior, and then the week before the ceremonial end of parenthood, you let them know that they're not out of the woods yet.
Note to all the geeks from Tewksbury who are getting ready for evening filled with cake and dunks tanks at their annual school sponsored sleep over…this is how you're SUPPOSED to spend your final days of high school.

Where the hell are the parents on this? There never is a story about a parent taking control and dishing out any punishment. This must be the brain-dead generation of parents I've read about.

MAybe that's why they only beat Medford 22-2. 4 less bud lights down at Hampton Beach and it would've been 42-2.

"protective custody"? Please, they should get a summer full of community service. They broke the law. Make them clean the public toilets at the beach all summer.

High school student just trying to celebrate what wrong with that, but if the party turn tragic now that a story, this story is just wasteful space, there no name release there no actual storyline to this story, is that all you got, are you for real?

Clint obviously hasn't got any children, nor did he have a prom date. Poor guy.

To those dim bulbs and dull pencils who say that this type of behavior is normal and to be expected - if your son or daughter boozed it up after prom or graduation and wound up dying in a car accident with a few friends, would you still be urging kids to celebrate this way? If a drunk driving prom goer hit and killed your mother, father, brother, sister, girlfriend, boyfriend or hit and crippled you for life, would you still be urging kids to hit the booze after the prom or after graduation?

To Awesome and Mr Mill City
The MIAA cares. Every student athlete signs a pledge to abstain from drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
You break the rules-you don't play. Very easy.
If what Mustang wrote is true, and that kid played you better hope
the MIAA and Medford don't get wind of it--the win then has a very good chance of becoming a forfeit.

The legal drinking age is 21..They broke the law. Send them to the scene after a fatal accident and they'll be tossing their cookies in their beer cans.

The drinking age should be 18. If you can go to war you should be able to drink. But I was up in Hampton on Memorial Day and didn't think there was enough police around to keep the peace.

look screw you who say its bad becauses chances are you drank on your prom night to. And i know for a fact there where other "student athletes" from other towns up there last weekend. they were sporting there sport jackets and shirts. and i bet if it were chelmsford kids who got caught it woulnt make it to the media or even tewksbury or small towns no it has to be lowell who has to be the one who everyone talks about to set an example that bull. and to you who says they broke the law "wondering" i bet you broke the law before. it's there last weekend as seniors they want to celebrate let them. stop trying to make it seem like a bigger deal than it is. and as for the media they shouldnt even be putting this garbige on the press its not worth peoples time nor energy to read this. i am mad they would exploit the kids of lowell. they arent bad kids.
