The contracts passed and much deserved. The worry is for all the taxpayers that may get hit with a 2.5 million dollar bill from the Nuclear Plant. Waiting on the Courts and what the next 12 months will be.

There's no requirement that the budget go down by $250,000 a year after the contracts passed.

so, when did the NH legislature change the title of the office to anything but "selectman". Yet another retread thread that has completely diverted from its original subject matter.

This was all a big set up from the beginning. They were never going to save the taxpayers money. Taxes are going up so much because the old tm lied to the town. Shame on all of the elected officials for letting this happen, including our noisy budget committee chair.
stop blaming

It's a fact of life that costs for everything in this world continually go up and not down. At least the Town employees got a well deserved raise after many years to help with the rising cost of living. Deal with it, things could always be worse. If you're paying your bills, heating your home and feeding your family be grateful. These are bad times and a lot of folks aren't making it.
