Just glad there is a community here for help and conversations. I've been a "Methodonian" for just 2.9 years until I found a physician that I could see twice per month for $60 a visit and he gives me 2 scripts for Dones with one of them postdated for the second script or about 28 days after the fiirst script. What I didn't like about the Indy Treatment center was it the cost for my 1st day and my last day on Sept. 28, 2007 was $396 per month and I got my dose down to 50 mg. there and now my blue cross insurance picks up a chunk of that which help, so before my insurance I am paying just over $33 and he knows I was a patient there and I'm not a "doctor shopper) as I used to be in the in the 90's.One last comment about the media and that fact they're playing into these old steotypes, while it's taken away all the attention frpm Oxycontin, Vicodin and of course, methampetomene (?) Many have judged us for takig Dones, but I feel normal again and my stomach isn't in knots, nor am I waiting on the FedEx or UPS trucks to arrive from and tracking the shipment @'s so I'd know when my meds arrived. That's another thing I had to get rid of and thats -the intermet "pharmacies" and the prices wre outrageously high. I haen't ordered anything from these "pharmacies" for almost 3.5 years yet they call everyday and I'm not padding these number of calls and they're dumb enough to leave about your Xanas has been ready for moths and so on and so on. I've learned from so many people online, so I'm hopeful some of my past mistakes will help someone's future. We CAN beat anyhing, but don't count of our governnent.

In response to the article... I agree that people should not drive intoxicated. What I don't agree with is the guy that is qouted says that our society is overdiagnosed and overmedicated. If anything, society is undermedicated. The guy in the article must not know anyone with cancer or any other chronic pain issue that cannot get the meds they need. Many people today live the last days of thier lives in misery because of being undermedicated and not recieving proper care.

Stan,

Please dont post your doctors name. What he doing is called script splitting by the DEA. Its illegal. The boards require any c 11 patients to be seen every 31 days for an exam however there is a opt out once a year where a doctor can give more then a 31 day supply if the doctor writes Vacation supply on the prescription. Sounds like your doctor really trust you! Your lucky

That isnt true, a doctor is allowed to prescribe up to 3 months at a time if a patient is stable unless its changed in the last year. I was able to get 3 months scripts at a time and leave the 2 post dated ones at the pharmacy and have them shipped to me.

Well I will do write a prescription like that and wish your doctor much luck! I have a background on this matter but its not up to me to teach unless your a doctor.

The only thing I may question about my post is could it be a DOH Florida rule but I'm 90% its DEA. About 2 years I had to let a doctor go and needed a reason(s) outside the real reason (its not easy to fire a doctor) and this was one of the reasons. He filled suit (they all do) and I won.

Have a great day!
