maybe he figured that by reporting what happened to the college's authorities, THEY would contact the campus/local police and get the ball rolling...and nobody did anything...
sad...pathetic, actually - that in an institution of superior learning, and a private college at that, things such as this still happen...guess the college didn't want any bad PR, which they deemed was more important than providing complete assistance (legal, psychological, medical, etc.) to one of its students.
Hope some lessons have been learned here.
