"...said Fleury wrongly assured two men who brought the weapon to the club that it was legal for children to use it under Massachusetts law."

Is there actually a loaw that places age restrictions on the usage of firearms by minors under an adult's supervision?

I'd imagine that scout groups and summer camps might want to keep an eye on this one. Seems like the American tradition of learning riflery at scout camp might be a thing of the past.

What a joke!!!!!!! Let's start prosecuting everybody for every stupid thing. One example :Car rental agencies because I let some one, who got into an accident, drive my rental. Power tool manufacturers because soneone got injured using my power tool. These are STUPID examples just prosecuting the Police Chief.BIG waste of my tax payer dollars

Then try listening to the news idiot. The law reads "nobody shallfurnish an automatic weapon to anyone under 18yo". Too hard for your tiny mind to comprehend?

Once again, MGL statute Chapter and verse, please.

Remember, I am an idiot. So you'll have to type using small words, and please... for the benefit of my feeble mind, no more than two syllables, please.

Wow ... aren't you full of vengence - maybe you should run for office so you can make some changes in the political arena rather than release your diahrea all over the internet!

Wow, Republicscums. Seems like you might want to tap into your repressed homosexual tendencies for Christmas. Now that's a gift to give yourself! Don't worry; your messiah Obama would want you to.

You have to take it with a grain of salt. The reason WHY this person is here is because it's the only forum where they can surface with anonymity and safety. Anywhere else, they'd be at the very least debunked or more likely beaten severely.

If there is any fault in this is was on the father to bring the child to a gun range and put an automatic weapon in his hands. If the kid wanted to shoot then fine load a few rounds in the thing not a whole clips worth. As for the chief and the others that ran the show there should have been rules to a certain age allowed.

You are a huge waste of gray matter. One NRA nutjob whose response to everything is "people get killed by pencils everyday, should we persecute them?"
What an a**hole.

Blame the DAD for taking his hands OFF of HIS CHILD!

Sorry...if DAD says to the instructor "I want my kid to fire this gun" which he did, and the kid gets KILLED firing that GUN, how is it the Chief's fault?

Somewhere they stated the 15 yr old instructor WARNED the father AGAINST using that firearm. But NO..........DADDY wanted HIS KID to SHOOT THAT FIREARM. The blames lies clearly in one area. The father!!!!!!

My opinion is that the father is suffering enough and I know he blames himself for the accidental killing of his son thats punishment enough. As for the Police Chief he should be prosecuted and found guilty of the manslaughter charges due to the simple fact of him lying to the men who brought the gun to the show saying it was ok for children to shoot a fully automatic uzi machine gun. Lets just say i'm glad he's not the police chief in my city what an "idiot"

the police chief LIED and said it was legal it is not.
fry em.....
the FATHER is an ER Trauma doctor he NEEDS a SLAP for being so stupid, and I am sure he is suffering now, and I think he should also be held accountable.
what about the "instructor" why were his HANDS not on the weapon?
WHY does a CHILD even need to shoot such a weapon?

I still think there should be a law that states no child under the age of 16 should be allowed to shoot anything larger than a .22 cal

I dont think it the chief fault. I think it lies in the parents hands. How stupid was he to bring his 8 year old to a gun range. How stupid is that. I believe the sign says at your own risk.

Let me explain this stupid, and I'll do it real slow so you can understand. If that kid said "hey dad, can I drive your car?" He'd say "of course not", but if Kyle Petty and a bunch of other "expert" drivers WERE there to instruct him, the father would assume it is safe. Now while his son is driving a ferrai magnum v12 Kyle Petty decides he has to have a beer, so he leaves his 15yo son in charge. The kid wipes out and gets killed. Whose fault?
The instructor DID NOT warn the father at all, nor was the 15yo a certified instructor. The certified instructor was busy drinking and emptying beers from his bladder.
I'm not sure where you got your info, or if you are just lieing, but either was you are a
jack(_!_)
