Wow. Lots of judgmental people here. I agree that we should all take personal responsibility for our actions, and that includes paying our debts. I think that some of these mortgage brokers who approved bad loans should have to pay back their commissions. They approved loans for unreasonable amounts and got their cut up front! I think the article points out that it's not good for a community to have all these vacant/abandoned houses all over the place, either. I think that the banks themselves should try to restructure these loans. I DON'T agree with a government bailout. I pay way too much in taxes as it is. Where does it end? And if Obama gets elected, it will be worse. I might as well just turn over my entire paycheck to the IRS.
