Why would any parents let their children be out on a quad at 10:30 pm at night. Let alone, unsupervised and from what I am told none of the kids had helmuts on. I feel terrible for all the families. This stupid accident could have been avoided if parents would use common sense and enforce rules in their household. Quads are not meant for 3 people to be riding on. At best, 2 passengers. Everybody thinks it will never happen to them!!! My prayers and deepest sympathy are with the family of the girl that died. She was a friend of my son's. I also feel very sad for the young girl that hit these kids. She probably never even saw them until it was to late.

nie, HOW DARE YOU SAY THIS!

Do you have a heart? Honestly, do you?

I highly doubt the mother or father thought this would ever happen, the teens either.

You have no idea how angry I am at you, even if you are a stranger.

Grow a heart!

I made so mistakes when I was 13! My parents never knew 99% of the stuff I did! I could have died so many times. It would not have been my parents fault. Parents don't know everything their kids do. At 13 and with peer pressure, lots of stupid stuff happens. Some are lucky, others get cut short!

No words of sympathy? Wow, what a heart of stone you have.[/QUOTE]

No...it is not a heart of stone. The head is made of stone. And it belongs to the parents

I live within walking distance of where this happened. I see kids constantly crossing Pump Branch Road with the ATV to ride on the vacant land behind Cedar Brook Plaza. A lot of police officers live in the area...but the atv traffic remains unchecked. Yes, they shouldn't have been out on the highway. Yes, parents should have known where they were. Yes, the police need to monitor this area..etc...we all know that. But these kids made a poor choice, and now a life is lost. If you say you have no sympathy, you are heartless..I was up until 3 AM with my grieving daughter who was friends with the girl who died...my daughter and my husband passed by the scenewhile detouring through Bebetown Rd., not knowing that the covered body they saw on the ground was her friend. My daughter knows what her friends did was stupid...but that doesn't mean she doens't hurt for the life lost, the other two kids in the hospital, and the parents. No sympathy.......... UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

people need to stop saying the negative stuff about the parents i know them and its not their fault, she was an amazing beautiful girl whos boyfriend has to wake up to find out the girl he loves and has been with for almost a year is gone and he wasnt able to say goodbye, who knows if he will make it to the funeral, and the other girl has to wake up to find out her friend is dead, grow a heart people show sympathy the fact that people can sit here and point out the deadly mistake is rediculous the world we live in is crap, everyone is heartless and the world will never change because of people like you!!
