I am new to Topix, but I think I am falling in love with you. Don't get bent about being ganged-up on by these people. You took on everybody and you did a great job. We're all proud of you.

The people of Collings Lakes should thank you for conjuring the greatest amount of attention to their lake front paradise in modern history. They might have fought with you, but they loved every second of it. You made them feel special.......relevant, if only for a moment.

I haven't been in CL since The Fish & The Bones left. I am no expert on such an irrelevant community, but taint it made up primarily of white trash heroin addicts? Now heroin is great, don't get me wrong, but I'm just calling a "duck" a "duck." You all know what it is that I be sayin ? Every 18-40 year old is on the crack out there. And that's fantastic.

I was in Colling Lakes just the other day to go to a friend's anniversary party. I can name a dozen SJ towns in the sticks that are true ghettoes and Collings Lakes isn't one of them.
Please list these areas, in the sticks, that are real ghettos. Thank you. One of the criterian, for a true ghetto, is open-air commerce. Another is frequent gun play.....

I look forward to this list. Shucks Vineland isn't even a "ghetto"....not a real ghetto, anyway. West Kensington/Fairhill is a real ghetto. OMG, it's so cool there. I like the Waterloo St.......Oh and Hope St too.

At least you're hitting on a chick now. Sadly she's away for the summer. I guess she's somewhere without interent or wi-fi or chose to stay off the grid. Reading her posts, I think she's some hot smart chick who kicks ass.

Oh, I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to see which roads I travel on. By naming the towns the dozen towns that I think are worse than Collings Lakes then you can zero in on where I might travel and what routes. Clever!

Yeah that's it Liberty. My hero is Sam Curcio, and like him, I am banned from the roads. So I really can't get to anywhere you may travel. Oh, so you hang out in the hoods, huh? You aren't in a Blood set are you? What, you got a crack habit or something? Liberty, what hoods have the raw dope?

I was just curious about these ghettos in the sticks. Is Millville one? Aww man don't say Newtonville....

Hey Liberty, would you drive me to Camden?

You stay away from her, Liberty. You keep making accusations that I am hormonesexual, and that don't bother me none(it's obvious that someone who keeps talking about that is probably fay, and that's ok Liberty, but just come clean about it). But if you don't stay away from her, we will have a duel.

Ummm it's Jim Curcio, the Surrogate who's a drunk not Sam Curcio the Public Defender unless you know something that the public doesn't know. JC is absolutely a drunk. He's only been charged with DWI twice because he's only been caught and charged twice. He's driven drunk hundreds of time. How he was reelected Freeholder after the first charge and then get elected as Surrogate shows how stupid voters are. I went to Chik-fil-A yesterday in Vineland so I was in Millville for a few seconds on Lincoln and Main Roads. According to Jim, he says he no longer drinks. Too Funny! He says that his drinking doesn't affect his job as Surrogate. We'll see if it takes him killing someone on the road to make him stop drinking.

Yes, me makey mistake. I meant Jim. He's awesome. I saw him at the 12th st WAWA after his first DUI....he was all nervous, embarassed, and smiling. Oh Lberty, don't worry, he's cured. He went to outpatient rehab 3 nights a week, and listened to some self-absorbed crack head tell him what was wrong. He's cured.

Sam's ok too.

Their is a group of people starting to come together to help clean up the community. Starting with the Basketball courts and 1st beach and moving down to second and eventually third beach. If you are from the Lakes and see some people out working on cleaning up the 1st beach and basketball courts area, feel free to come over and help. We have created a group seperate but not against the civic association. On the 25th of August we are having a community Party for kids and people of all ages at 1st beach/basketball courts. Their will be music and food. Their will be games for kids and Adults including tug of war, basketball, horseshoe tournaments, face painting, potato sack races, etc.. Please come out and show your support for Collings Lakes. We will be using any earning to help clean up and make Collings Lakes Nice and Safe Community to live in.

Collings lakes is a horrible nasty place to live. I rented a home there for a year and it was a nightmare couldn't wait to get the hell outta there. People screaming fighting every other night. Can't count the times state troopers ran threw my yard in the middle of the night searching for some scumbag. I'm glad to be back in Berlin with normal people. I'm sure the guy next door to me is still abusing his poor dog to .. and the homeless guy on the bike is still squatting in the abanded house on the other side of the house .. what a mess!

To the Residents of Collings Lakes

Now that the weather is getting better, please get out there and pick some of the trash up around your homes or if you do have the time venture out further. If you see some people out by the beaches and the basketball courts please feel free to come out and help make our community a cleaner place to live. If your walking around bring a small trash bag with you so you can pick up trash as you walk.

And enough with the negative talk about Collings Lakes because its not a bad place to live. It just has a few people who dont care about anything but themselves just like every other community does.

Lead by example.

Well said, it is not a bad place to live at all. If only some people had a little pride and cleaned their stinking homes! There are a lot of good people in Collings Lakes and it stinks for those who actually take care of their property to have to deal with the ones who don't. As nick said.. "LEAD BY EXAMPLE".

Also, what the heck is up with the house on the corner of Cains Mill and East Collings, it's turning green! People have been putting a lot of time in cleaning up first beach and the basketball courts and they look really nice. Whoever lives there should be ashamed to live in such an eyesore that is also unfortunately the first thing you see when you come into town.

So true Nick!
Some friends from Hammonton ask why I live here and I reply by asking, why? They all say, well some homes look awful and neglected. I say where, and they say, as you drive in over the bridge; which is about .5 miles away from my home. I reply by saying, well friend about .5 miles away from your home in Hammonton are abandoned homes and buildings, some of which are havens for squatters, the poor homeless and the usual suspects. They still say they would never live here. Must be nice to look down on your friends and generalize!
