and i'm just trying to get the point across that the Middle East was never as bad as it's been portrayed by Western/American propaganda. did you ever think that maybe they(USA/England) had a reason to dehumanize an entire region of the world for their own self-interests?Beautiful mind.....I have already said it about getting out entirely. The middle east is a violent place ever sense I was a kid and was taught in school. Plus as a kid, always seeing some violence that was going on in the middle east. Then being in the service and seeing and hearing a passion for their cause. They treat their women as servants as well as their children. The denounce homosexuals with brutality. If they were Americans, you, Melissa and Bacon Hater would be calling them tea baggers and racist. Just because I say I do not care, never called them a slur, said we should get out and also said that they deserve most of the blame because they have the power to end it. Yet you, Melissa and Bacon want to call me a uncaring racist. I believe all three are nuts and are blaming the wrong people
http://www.carlmedearis.com/free-stuff/10-myt... <please read those....i think you'll find that the Middle east is a lot different than you're perceiving it.
i've been to 3 middle eastern countries, spent some time. And i don't like the way women are treated, especially in Saudi Arabia (which is a country the USA has left alone, despite the claims that we are spreading democracy, blah blah) most other arabs actually frown upon Saudi Arabia for their ways.
but i've also seen girls walking to school along with the boys, i was in a shop in palestine and i saw a magnet or ash tray or something that said "girls can do everything" :) iraq actually had..or has..more women holding government positions than in the USA.
and women are oppressed all over the world, even in america. it just happens in different ways.
we can all look back on our grade - high school education and realize we were taught a bunch of BS. especially in history class. we are taught what the American government wants us to believe. so many history lessons have been distorted depending on who is doing the teaching and writing it.
anyway you can be racist without using a racial slur. racism is the stereotyping of people based on their heritage, color, place where they live, etc. it's the belief that they are somehow inferior to you...for now other reason than having prejudice. which includes things like "they're all violent women abusers who are blood thirsty homosexual hating animals" it's simply not true. crime rates are much lower in the middle east than in most USA cities. i'm a witness to this.
