I look at their remorseful faces posted in this story and can't help but wonder what the look on their faces were when that poor, thirsty, dehydrated child was drinking hot-sauce laced water. I'm sure they thought that was funny, real damn funny.... I honestly don't think I can put into words the disgust and contempt I have for these two lowlife scumbags. Why is it always the children or the elderly that things like this and worse happens to? Oh yeah, cause they're easy targets for the abuse. Anyone think these two should get three strikes?

Those people are HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE people. To punish a 2 year old boy for wetting the bed is bad enough. They went beyond that and MURDERED him? Seriously? I hope ther get the worst punishment the courts can offer. People like them do NOT deserve to live.

Would you have entrusted your toddler to these two? People who would willfully give a toddler hot sauce and deny the baby liquids because he wet in his bed. His little body is still forming. How about quality diapers or Pull Ups? You can go to shelters or food pantries and get them for free, if cost is an issue. I could be on death's door and would have known better. The mother has some part of this as well. A 2 year old and an 8 month old. Maybe she had two too many children.

I am so fed up with our justice system protecting criminals rather than the victims. People like these two who have such a disregard to human life don't deserve to have one! Violence like this is never gonna end if we constantly let people get off by throwing them in prison. Why.. so they can eat, sleep, shower, watch tv, go on the internet, work out in a gym. Yea tough life for them! Thats probably a better life then where they came from! Starve them, then hang em!!!!

I would like to know how he died from not drinking when if they were feeding him he should not have been dehyrated. I think they did not feed him either. It is very sad how the people you trust do that to your child and also there are too many stories about why he was there. I am a mother of two kids under the age 6 and when I get sick you have to deal with it. You just don't give your child to a friend because you sick, maybe a family member and not for a week or two. It should be look into more as the case goes to trial.

These tow ugly monsters belong behond bars to suffer as much as possible for the rest of thier lives for what they did to an innocent,adoralbe little boy. I still can't get over the fact that they tortured him by dehydration because he wet the bed...he was only 2 yrsl old for cripes sake!
Secondly-weather the mother of the little boy was sick or not..what in her right mind would she leave her 2 yr. old son for 10 wholde days with two people she said were her friends but-they killed her son. I feel sorry for her loss but I do not feel sorry for the fact that she chose her own childs life over being sick..she did care for her 18 month old daughter right so why did she pawn her 2 yr. old off to these maniacs.....something is not right and if she coulnd't handle caring for two kids then why have any?! May god rest this poor little boys soul and angels watch over him.

I am outraged that this happened, and definitely feel that the child's parents (only mother is mentioned) are also responsible for this very preventable tragedy. She must have been overwhelmed and desperate to let her "friends" care for this child entirely without her intervention for nearly two weeks. That is quite a long time to be away from your child and not even stop by to see how he is doing? Maybe this mother was truly overwhelmed and there were no resources, family or community to assist?

If this isn't a "hate crime" then what is? Even though the perps were the same race as the baby, they had to have horrendous EVIL HATRED in their hearts to torture a sinless child like this. "HATE" should NOT have to be aimed only at racial crimes, but crimes which are committed through SHEER HATRED as this one was. So let the judge (if there is any justice left in this world) really sock these two wastes of oxygen to a LIFELONG sentence with no chance for parole. Nobody deserves it more!

Lets all give support to the East Hartford Judge who actually stepped up for an 8 year old survivor of rape.He/she just gave the child rapist 90 years. If we had more Judges like this in CT, Violent repeat offenders would no longer brutalize and butcher us or children in our communities and homes. Sometimes Justice does get served.

I just don't understand how the mother would leave her son for 10 days? Whether she was sick or not 10 days is a long time.Hell,I had 3 children and had pnemonia and I still was able to care for my kids.Sure I felt like crap, but they are my responsibility.No excuse for this.I can see maybe a night where I was able to get some sleep,but not 10 days.I don't care how sick you are.
