where was the mother for 2 weeks??? what is wrong with these people, how can they be allowed to have the responsibilbity of children, how very sad that a little defensless boy dies due to stupid caretakers. what an aweful situation, only the good die young.

I think Mom should be bearing some responsibility. Why would you drop your child off for a play date and not return for 10 days? Also, why is the brother, Robert, not also being charged with manslaughter? He was aware of what was happening and did nothing to help this child, to me that makes him as guilty as the sister. Of course they're trying to play the mental disease card and she will sadly probably get off with a sentence much less severe than she truly deserves. I think all three of them need to be charged under the fullest extent of CT law.

In time mom sara will get what she deserves. She is not as inicent as she projects.

I'll bet that mom is not as innocent as she claims to be either. Something missing from this story. And a sad sad story it is that poor little boy.
