Who said anything about speeding? The article says the kids turned into the path of the oncoming police cruiser, and that the collision was unavoidable. Couple of kids out at 3am, there is no good reason for kids that age to be out that late, period.

It's sad no matter what the cause that two young lives have ended needlessly. Forensic accident reconstruction aided by any video rolling in the cruiser's camera should either clear up any questions or discrepancies in the policeman's story or corroborate it.

That's some creative power of projection you have there - the people at the Utopia Bar didn't cause this accident.

obviously the only one that could comment on the kids turning into the cruisers path would be the cop..duh....what's he gonna say...I couldn't stop when they turned in front of me.....at the age of 19 they are not kids but adults....they can fight in Iraq but not go out after midnight? please wake up....

The police should be monitored constantly because of their tendency toward abuse. Look at what we get to see when the cameras are rolling and they don't know it. Just imagine what we don't see. I, for one, think cameras should be rolling all the time. Maybe it would keep the them on the straight and narrow

this is an extremely long investigation --- any updates --- has the cop already been deemed a saint and cleared of any wrong doing?

The news said today that the cop was traveling 94 MPH. At THAT speed it doesn't matter if he had his lights on or not. Wasn't he on 'paid administrative leave' since this happened?

"Come to beautiful Milford! Scenic! Historic! Murderers on the police department payroll!"

All that money should be returned to the town, but probably won't. Too bad he didn't die - it would have cost the taxpayers less.

Just watched the video - frightening. I am praying for our young drivers who have so little experience with defensive driving.

Seems pretty obvious who is at-fault... Nothing will bring the kids back though.

Do you have a 19 year old? I do. Their legal at 18. They dont accept curfews at that age. Please put down the crack pipe and stop annoying the adults.

What were the teens doing that they swerved into his path? Just a thought before we start blaming anyone...
what i dont understand is why people automatically believe its the kids fault.. the guy was driving 94 mph theres the evidence, oh and the girl was shot from her car 30 feet and if the cop was in fact going the speed limit- he would have had time to react, there would have been no problem.... no argument there humble teacher.. open your eyes, kids aren't always the cause of problems

1. if the cop was going the speed limit he could have avoided the crash.
2. a yellow blinking light mean slow down...not go 94 mph through the intersection.
3. the cop is at fault as you can see clearly in the video, and everyone is trying to find other people to blame.
4. even if the teens were out late at night, or had drinks, they should have been punished, but not killed because of it. they were not the ones going 94 mph.

stop trying to blame others for something that a police officer did. he was racing, he was going 94 mph, he hit two kids, he killed two teens that night not anyone else. yes, it was not intentional, it was a stupid mistake, but he must live with what he did for the rest of his life, and he should not get away with anything. if this was any other person who was just a regular citizen, they would have been immediately arrested and put in jail. they wouldn't be out free and being paid while awaiting trial, they would be sitting in a jail cell, or loose their job.

the family should not have to wait weeks or even months for justice.

what were the kids doing out at 3 am? who cares if it was a teenager, if it was a 30 year old man it would not have made a difference...he still would have been killed. the cop car wouldnt have magically jumped over the car or swerved around it because of the age of the driver.

Anybody turning left into the path of an oncoming vehicle would most likely have been killed. Anybody who did not turn left into the path of an oncoming vehicle would still be alive.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Taurus

Catch up with the chores today, especially if you've got a long list of them and you want to get through them all before Christmas. You're feeling nicely efficient without wanting to work yourself into the ground, so carry on at a steady pace. A few well-chosen words in a certain person's ear will be more effective than a lengthy conversation at other times.
