Kudos to these homeowners for taking some precautions against the thugs that are out there. I hope those who know them turn them in PRONTO and they spend years in a 6x6 cell. Even though we all know this crap happens, it still awes me to see just how inconsiderate these loser can be of other's rights, property and lives. These same jerks are probably the one's who'd slash your throat if you happened to walk too close to their piece of **** car, yet they want to walk all over your belongings and take what they wish. They're animals, and should be caged.

It's kind of hard to identify them, they look like any other thugs... but I hope they get caught, everyone take a good look... I'm sick of pieces of s.h.it like these, get a job

All those thousands of dollars on cameras and stuff, and no alarm system? DUH? These people had all the time in the world because there was obviously no alarm. Hello? If you need THAT much surveilance on your home, you obviously have a lot of nice, expensive things to protect. Why not an alarm? I dont get it! I just Dont!

Some lawyer is angling a defense - were there notices of camera present? No notice and the lawyer will try to get the video and any "fruits of the tree" tossed out of court. Had these crook known, they might have set the house on fire as to destroy evidence. Besides, even if caught, what is the state going to do?

What if you were home when they entered? By Connecticut law, you are suppose to attempt to retreat before using any force to defend yourself. How ridiculous is that? Maybe if laws against criminals were stricter, we wouldn't have this kind of crap. But no, even criminals have a say in the matter. And we're the suckers paying for it all.

I just Dont! you know what i dont get..why people leave comments like this...at least they have a video...do you know why they didnt arm it? maybe it was broke, maybe one of the kids ran out & SIMPLY forgot, maybe they wanted to leave a dog roaming aroubnd the house free but couldnt arm it with the animal in it. There could be reasons that were good. Why is it that people JUDGE when they do not know the whole story?? Its not the homeowners fault they were robbed.. For the homeowners..I salute you for having a video survielance...good luck.

---It's not dumb. Look at what you wrote. If you KNOW your house has intruders in it, why would you enter it and try to attack the intruders rather than stay outside where it's safe and call the police? My god, use some common sense.
I would think a burglar alarm that has a loud alarm bell and motion lights would have been a better deterrent. Maybe add stickers letting everyone know the house is under surveillance?

What the hell are you talking about? I'm upstairs in my home when burgalers enter MY house. They don't know that I'm home. I have the choice to hit them with a baseball bat, by surprise, if they come upstairs. By law, that might be illegal and I'd probably have a lawsuit on my hands. I have absolutely no knowledge of what their intentions are. I'm not about to "retreat". What if I retreat and they kill me? YOU use some common sense before you or your family gets killed. You won't be so accepting of robbers if one of them were to harm someone you love.

---Did you read what I wrote? I said "Why would you ENTER your house if you know it has intruders in it". You're right if you're in the house and they break in, but not if you come home to a burglary in progress.

Get a gun, hide outside, and then shoot them when they come out. That's a good way to deal with burglars. Oh, wait, that would not be a good idea. The thugs families would they sue the homeowners, and would probably win with our f*cked up laws.

That would be a good way to deal with it if you could prove that you were in danger. I think the best thing if anyone could afford it is the exterior of the house being electrified so they get 100,000 volts if they touch it :)
