South Buffalo Residents React To Drug Raids

A series of drug raids over the past week shocked some people in South Buffalo but it also proved that vigilance from block clubs and tips phoned into police did get results.

"A series of drug raids over the past week shocked some people in South Buffalo"

Shocked some people?
Boy, you Buffalonians are pretty naive. It's been going on for a long time over a 5 block area and you people are shocked?

How about Kelburn, Weaver, Cable, etc.?

A certain bar next to Lucky's restaurant.

The East siders moved into South Buffalo and opened up shop.

The same east siders are in your Kaisertown neighborhood. IT'S NOT A LAUGHING MATTER YOU FREAKING IDIOT!

Residents in the South Buffalo area have to fight back. Keep reporting to the police when you see drug activity. The more calls the police get, the more likely the police will do something.

It is very difficult to take back streets that are occupied by drug dealers, ever neighbor needs to be involved.

Having been a channel 2 viewer for the past several years, I think it's time to search for a new local news source. The fact that this major story did not make the news until the next day when the other local stations covered it almost as quickly as it happened makes me wonder how many news stories channel 2 has missed over the years.

How about the fact that the Bflo Snooze still hasn't listed the names of the people arrested? I want to see if Lynn DeJac's sons were busted. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

If anyone thinks that SB's drug problems are all concerning black people i have to laugh.

(btw, i am south buffalo irish, before anyone gets worked up!)

One bust was on my street at 66 Pomona Place, Paul Barrett and Sergio Santiago. I know another was on Milton Street, Matthew McCooey. TRASH TRASH TRASH!!! Thank goodness they are off my street. I'm not afraid to call the cops, nor are my neighbors. This is the 2nd house raided in the past 3 years I've lived on that street and we aren't done yet. People have to realize South Buffalo is not painted in rose colors.

It time to take action, for too long people have been to afraid and they look the other way. There was a time when people respected you and your property. Now kids dont care, they are allowed to do as they please because no one will take action. This problem will not go away by itself its like a cancer and will keep spreading until it is stopped. Get involved people!!!!

All these posts are very good. People need to exploit the drug dealers. If you have names post them and the addresses. Some people just aren't aware of their surroundings or don't care. The more citizens help the easier it becomes for the Police. Good job. Keep it up.

South Buffalo has become a haven for trash people in Buffalo NY. In about 10 more years its going to resemble the east side. You cant drive down seneca st without seeing atleast 5 teenage mothers pushing strollers down the street on their way to use their WIC at one of the many convenient stores, and if you think im exaggerating take a ride down seneca st from bailey to harlem.

WELL WHAT ABOUT THE DRUGS GOING ON IN RIVERSIDE AT 284 RIVERSIDE AVE UPSTAIRS AND ALOS 282 AND 286
Have you taken action? Have you called the cops to investigate? If you have, call them again and then again the next time you see something. Don't give up! I'll call in this address if that's what it takes. I'm not afraid of these people. I pay the taxes here, they don't. I'll take my street back.
