Beaches get contaminated because our sewer system can't keep up with high flow and dumps the poop into the rivers which take it out to the lake. If it doesn't kill you, will it make you stronger? or just smelly?

because the are close to the treatment plants. they have roun-off ponds that over flow during high periods of rain and it flows into the lake .which in turn contaminates the water with bacteria . as you know bacteria can make you ill.

Most of the sewage problem is not Buffalo's..it is the surrounding suburbs who do not upgrade their sewer system..it's their beach front ,their towns & villages,.it's their responsibility to upgrade..don't blame buffalo...
