I want to give all my prayers to Courtney and her family. As a registered nurse that works in an ICU, I understand how hard it is for you right now. It is so hard to deal with the death of an adult, let alone a child. Just remember, Courtney came into this world for a reason, no passing is ever senseless. I hope you find stregnth in family and from the good memories you had with Courtney. I am sincerely saddened by her loss even though I never knew her, I have children of my own and I can only imagine. Please stay strong and Courtney will be your gaurdian angel always!

When are these subhumans going to be held without bail? If there is enough evidence to arrest them then keep them behind bars so other children are not at risk. God bless this child. I pray no permanent physical damage was done to her.

That's sick. My bet is that the person was drunk, or on drugs.

The laws have gotten tougher after the old laws let people run away from a hit and run accident when they were drunk and only got a slap on the wrist when they were caught.

I would not call the person who hit her a man. A man would have stopped and done the right thing. This creature is a yellow bellied gutless wonder.

I see where you are assuming it was a man. Sorry, men walk on two legs. This thing slithered.

When something like this happens because of an accident, it's tragic. When it happens because of some deliberat action, it's simply uncomprehensible. That person is a seriously sick and twisted individual and should be permanently removed from society. Bring back the death penalty!!!

To the family and friends of the young girl, my heart goes out to you all. May you somehow find peace and the ability to go on through your faith and the love for each other...

Understand her family is donating her organs. She will live on in others, may they find some comfort in knowing that. My heart goes out to her family and friends. I've been there and they will need lots of love and support. If you don't know what to say, say a prayer and let them know you will always be there to listen and love.

It gets worse...found this in another article...

"Police have charged 29 year-old Christopher Andrews of West Seneca with criminally negligent homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.

Police say he had just left a strip club Wednesday night when he hit 13 year-old Courtney Koehler and then sped away."

Rest in peace Courtney and my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

His SUV suffered front end damage. Most drunken drivers don't get hurt because they are relaxed. Their muscles don't tense up and get strained.(they don't tense up because they are unaware of the impending collision).
And since hit a slim 13 year old girl, and not a pole or something else substanstial, of course, he's not injured in any way.
oh and by the way, I'm sure this was all unintentional to him. He only wanted a few drinks. He didn't get into his car and say "I'm gonna go kill a teenage girl."
He's getting charged with his crime. Why not the mother who left her baby in the car to die? It was unintentional there too.

Mr. Andrews is a coward. I hope this haunts him the rest of his pathetic life.

May Courtney's family find peace in their memories.

How wonderful that her family is giving the gift of life to others. My thoughts are with her family today and also those of whom will benefit by the legacy she will pass on with her organs and tissues.
