How the hell does Austin have news of this before local channels.
Austin is 300 miles South of the scene.

I was South of the scene by 6 miles when all traffic was diverted back South.

A 7-year-old girl with Head Injury was airlifted from the scene of a traffic accident was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

According to Blaine police, the accident happened just after 5 p.m. when a 2003 Hyundai Accent driven by a 43-year-old male from Ham Lake was crossing Highway 65 on eastbound on 133rd Lane NE and was struck by a northbound 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier.

The girl was unconscious when witnesses arrived on the scene, police say. She regained consciousness by the time paramedics arrived.

The driver of the Cavalier was transported by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Insane there is no stop light for retards crossing a killing zone. Cars travel 60 -70mph on Central, so wake the hell up idiots trying to cross.
Your attempt at being in a rush won't do any good dead.

I was stuck just a short distance from that accident. I saw the helicopter arrive and land, then take off. I live less than 5 miles from that accident and it took 45 minutes to get home. I saw one guy being put on a stretcher, saw a red car with windshield completely shattered and 2 other vehicles were already removed by tow truck. Fire trucks were blocking the lanes north. I think they should completely close that intersection and add a service road on east side of 65 from 133rd Lane to Bunker Lake... would be a pain for some who live there, but much safer.
