Sorry you are not able to find a job.
How long have you been collecting unemployment checks? Glad they just issued an extension? Isn't that like federal 'disaster relief' directed to you?
The debate in this country about how the gov't spends money is really sad.
Maybe you should read your check sometime. If you're one of the 40% of us that actually contribute to the tax base that is. UI is specifically paid for by wages and employers. It is not a handout. What's really sad is uninformed opinions.

I might make too much, or too little to pay income tax. or I might be in the 53% tax bracket.

I understand UI is taken as a payroll tax. Government run insurance, basically.

Is the full cost of paying out unemplyment benefits covered by the UI tax? Inform me, please!

The fisherman took too many for too long and now the salmon are gone along with the clams & sardines. I can't believe the federal government keeps coming in with welfare for fishermen not to fish. All of the fisherman should go to school and get new job skills. We didn't give federal aid to gold miners after they took all of the gold. Fisherman go get a new job in the competitive global economy. It isn't our fault that you can't drink all day and only work a few months of the year any more. I hope that all of the anti-tax conservatives will back me on this one. No bailouts for fisherman.
YOUR AN IDIOT!!! you dont have any idea what you talking about!! shut your mouth no one want to hear you anyways!!gosh its people like you that screw up everything for everyone who cant afford college or in your case you sound like a rich little bich !!! probably from sucking your moms tit too long!!

You're mean. We're bailing out the almond farmers everyday--and killing the fish doing. Fishermen especially deserve a BAIL OUT! I'd rather support local FOOD than international banks or rich almond barons in the valley!

OK, don't get me started. So salmon fishermen disparage government involvement in the environment, in social networks, in supporting the environment of the area around the harbor.

Then - and let me get this straight so I understand this totally - you ask or a government handout? After you caused the problem?

And YOU complain about environmentalists at the harbor? Who is keeping you alive?

The problem with fishermen is that they disparage the people who support the resource, then complain when their own efforts bear fruit.

You're a phrackin' kook! I'm not asking for a handout. I'm not even a salmon fisherman. I have some empathy for folks whose livelihood has been wrecked by government interference and preferential treatment of Central Valley wanker5. And I like local fish!

You, idiot. I'm not collecting unemployment and either are other people I know who can't get a job paying even minimum wage. Wake up and taste the kool-aid!
