what sucks is newsday calling the wife for comment
A five foot fall killed him ?
Something aint right here. |
Did Newsday offer their condolences, send flowers? No, one of their flunkies calls the guys wife and probably asks something stupid like, "How do you feel about the death of your husband?"
AOL |
YES IF HE LANDS ON HIS HEAD YES, HE WAS ALSO 65, DUH. |
Newsday called his wife. Are you kidding??? The guy who called should be fired. How rude is that. Newsday is disgusting.
It's the impact that kills you. Not the fall. |
Maybe it was a heart attack???

Real men taking real risk.Thank you Newsday for making this news, its not only cops out there who risk thier lives to get the job done.
This saddens me. He was a nice man and a good worker.
it sucks |

I feel that this story is horrible. The writer makes it sound as though Raymond died from the fall which was not the case, nor did anyone ever think it was. Your writers are really out of line because this could really hurt the people who are grieving the loss of someone.
It was not the fall that killed him and newsday is disgusting for inferring that it was |
How sad that a man dies of a massive heart attack and Newsday, in its infinite journalistic stupidity, couldn't/wouldn't wait to get all the facts and published information that would give the reader the impression that something tawdry had happened. If this paper, which seems to be heading toward sensational reporting, would have waited until all the facts were in would spare family members and the reader, the negative slant of ill-informed reporting which seems to me, the road that this newspaper is heading. I find it disgusting that this paper, which receives world renowned praise, would stoop to such a low literary level. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. You know better!
Let's hope that since they reported this, they don't now forget it.
