Consider gang members and drunk drivers, they will be put on a path to citizenship too! They promise to get a GED.

Just like 1986 there are no plans in place for enforcement: how do you validate someone with multiple identities?

Is anyone going to check millions of illegals to make sure they graduated from high school.(Buy a degree dot com). My town has several "real" charter schools that have went under and their graduates can not get a copy of their diploma or transcript. The government had to call people out of retirement when Americans needed passports for travel to Canada and Mexico. There is nothing in place to verify a 2.1 million core dump of illegals. They don't intend to.

2.1 million illegals will be given 10 year work permits- at a time of record high unemployment.

Do you really think the government who currently gives a massive number of deportation waivers- of known illegals , is going to look for these people 10 years later and make sure they have completed 2 years of college or military?

How many of their own kids will they have by then, that they will use as their humanitarian reason to not be deported?

Why do they always use the Valedictorian as the poster child? This story is putting lipstick on a pig and we all know it. The DREAM act is wrong for the vast majority of Americans and we know it.

The "Nightmare Act" has failed ten years in a row. Do they really think we've forgotten?
AmberDru is right on the money. There will be no checks and Americans will pay all legal costs involved. No Se Pueda!

The Record is purposely leaving out one very important legal fact: DREAMers are not minors anymore. College students are 18 +. DREAMers ARE ADULTS, by legal standards.

As such, they are deportable if caught, without mami and papi. As adults, every day they decide not to self-deport is a conscious criminal intent and act.

Sorry, but that is how it is adjudicated in legal settings. Facts are facts. And the law is the law. Adults are responsible for their own actions and must pay the price.

No, this is a travesty that some are trying to inflict on our country. I don't care how these kids got here, the point is, I will never be in favor of putting the interests of illegals before those of American children...and since when did thirty somethings qualify as chuldren? To their parents, maybe, but come on, let's get realistic here, they are heading towards being middle-aged. The wording in these bills has to be written by drugged-out loons.

No way. Their parents don't provide them health insurance, much less save up money for college.

The dream act is all about them demanding their places at the front of the college financial aid lines, they expect FREE taxpayer provided college educations while American citizens are being cut back in everything.

If they want to go to college, they can go back home, they can either attend college back home or apply to come in on foreign student visas.

It's absurd they expect to be so rewarded for breaking the laws.
