as the clock counts down to the biggest mistake the mayor ever made , just wait she is still pushing grayslake , funny the grayslake budget is projecting a 650 K budget short fall as the state owes them 500k ,

Yes Hainesville has the same problem but it will be far and few times we will see a grayslake car in our streets , remember that next time you call for police services and the call is handled in GLENVIEW IL, and response time at 4:30 in the afternoon on 120 or washington to our town ???

the mayor and the 3D's just have pulled the biggest political blunder in the history of the village all to wipe out the legacy of Ted Mueller's administration

question is what was she thinking after telling the community she wouldn't break the tie and what kind of back door deal is really going on with her and the village manager in grayslake

Tax-O-Meter

Day 39 and the "fiscally responsible" mayor has not paid her real estate taxes. Does she have some special deal that we don't?

This mayor complains about the state not paying the village the money they owe us and yet she does not pay the state the money SHE owes them. Does anyone see a problem here?

Unfortunately they don't. All the loudmouths (almost all) got in office so there is nobody left to complain.

Day 45 and the "fiscally responsible" mayor has not paid her property tax. Are we carrying her share of the amount of tax owed to the village?

No! I'm not happy! I'm particularly not happy with a mayor who utilizes all the benefits that the rest of us pay our taxes for (schools, parks, libraries, firemen and so on and so on) while she does not pay her fair share. How can she face the residents of Hainesville while this continues?

I am not a stupid individual but I just don't understand how a public official is not being held responsible for paying taxes ( I am assuming that these are real estate taxes). Does anyone know exactly how much we are paying for her salary as Mayor of Hainesville? Does her husband work? For goodness sake, she allows thousands of dollars to go to the upkeep of Cranberry Lake (maybe they should change the name to Duberstein Lake)). As far as beautification for the Village, come on, how many more people does the Village have to hire for Public Works to take care of this ($$$$$$). And they don't want the other residents coming OVER to their side to walk the paths? This is getting worse and worse. What a bad decision to get these people in office. Sorry, but this is truly the way my wife and I feel. Shame on the people who voted them into office. They will end up paying the BIG PRICE!

I don't know about the beautification of Cranberry Lake a.k.a Lake Duberstein but I do know that the entrances are NOT, repeat NOT beautiful. They look like overgrown weed patches. If you want to see beautification, take a look at the Warren Township Office on Washington. Now that's beautiful.

As for beutification of Cranberry Lake that Trustee Duberstein over sees, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO IT WHILE I WAS ON VACATION!!!!! Did some upset resident do a fly over and drop some Napholm (sorry about spelling ) on our beloved JEWEL OF LAKE COUNTY. Now it looks more like an eyesore. I hope none of the beutification moneies were spent on seeds and flowers that may have been burned up. Hey one more thing how much more tax payers money will have to be spent to fix this pristine lake to return it to its former glory.

Now I hear that the Board has decided to keep one of the police cars as a municipal vehicle. Who do you suppose will be driving it? We couldn't afford our own cops but we can afford 2 trucks, 2 tractors, a jetter and now a municpal vehicle with all the costs that go with these thing like insurance, licensing and maintenance.

We just took a ride past most of the entrances to the subdivisions. If this is beautification, give me uglification. Did the village really pay good money for these plants?

a follow up to what Lizzy said about the beautiful cranberry lake what the hell did happen, that trustee Duberstein who is in charge of all the beautification in the village better look up the definition of what beautification really means. it looks like a bunch of dead weeds in the entrances and the area around the beautiful lake looks terrible. I am sick of all the taxpayers money being spent on "the lake" there are more important things to be taken care of in the village. HELLO!!!!!! Take a ride around other villages and you will see some real beautification you should try it some day and see what ideas you will find!!!!!!!

Would you believe it? Now the village has purchased a popcorn machine. Are there no limits to how our tax money is being spent? All while the mayor's taxes continue to go unpaid!!!

How does one find out who has paid their taxes and who hasn't? I have a few neighbors I'd like to check out.

A popcorn machine? We need a popcorn machine? Well, you know the village saved around $300,000 because we went with Grayslake PD. So that is a lot of popcorn machines, seeds, trucks, dog poop containers,...

Oh, btw, day 68 and the "fiscally responsible" mayor has not paid her taxes. To check this for yourself, go online and type in Lake County Illinois Treasurer. Shortcut to current payment status should be one of your choices. Click on find by address. Enter 307, E, Buck, Dr, 60030. Scroll down to the bottom and voila, amount billed is $8,273.29 and amount paid is 0.

I like that word uglification!

I was driving down 120 yesterday and it was backed up traffic and I wondered again why the Hainesville Trustees voted against the bypass?

Day 74 and the "fiscally responsible" mayor has not paid her real estate taxes. Is she getting a free ride?

Has anybody looked at the new website? Bad font. I can read it, but my dad and mom had trouble. Some of the meeting minutes and agendas are mixed up. I thought people complained when that other mayor didn't have them post everything that was said at the meeing. I thought they were going to change that.
