I live in Upstate, NY, near Syracuse. Born here, and grew up here. I'm 25, and looking for a change. Florida is where the boyfriend and I are looking to move. He's currently unemployed- has been for 2 years, and I am a LPN. Any input on some of the best places to live down there?

If you're hoping for jobs I do not recommend moving here to FL.

Florida is a really fun place! I got a job doing spray-tan, my gurl Raven does piece work with her used sewing machine, JuJuBee cleans rooms at the EconoLodge down on SOBT, and Tatianna does house calls for waking. We trick out of a camper in the parking lot of the motel where we live to make ends meet.

I know some women who do pornos from their house and are looking for new talent, couples ok.

I'm not sure what PR means "redneck", but if you mean my Puerto Rican Boyfriend- you are mistaken. And as for "Pandora"- I sense your sarcasm.

I have a feeling you want us to stay in NY- because maybe we are- "trashy". I shouldn't have to explain myself, but I will. We are both white, not that race matters-to me. No I do not have children. I have upheld the same job for almost 7 years now, and I take care of my grandmother, every day. Unfortunately, times are hard everywhere. I get that. My boyfriend was let go of his work. Times are so hard up here, there are literally ZERO jobs- unless you're some sort of computer engineer with MANY years of schooling. Cost of living is high. NYs taxes are OUTRAGEOUS. It'd be a real treat to just be able to walk outside, and enjoy mother nature... not up here in NY.

With that said, just looking for a friendly, positive, new location for my bf, my grandmother, my cat, and I.

TY.

Sorry, gurl, I don't think you are trashy, but this town is. Jobs are not quite as hard to come by down here as where you are, but what is here is pretty low end stuff and as far as mother nature, it's hot as hell down here. Cost of living is low, though.

I moved from NY a few years ago and I regret it. The crime here is cray, they just keep it under raps because of Disney. And as for jobs, there aren't many to go around. And the ones that are here do not pay well. You are an LPN so you should be able to find work as for your boyfriend, it will be hard. What about moving closer to the city, some place where rent is a bit less. Maybe Jersey City, Queens, PA or somewhere you can commute to NYC for work for your BF. What ever you decide, Good Luck to you guys!!

Obviously I don't think NY is so great if I'm trying to move out of it.-_-

we'll welcome you with open arms if you bring a gun, get a job, leave a union, leave Al Sharpton up there, and vote Republican.
