I am Danny. I am the recruiter and driver coach for this company. We're looking for GOOD drivers who not only KNOW what DRIVER BASICS 101 and CMV DRIVER BASICS 101 are but ALSO PRACTICE THEM. I road test drivers personally. We give orientation. Drivers sign acknowledgements when they are hired that they are expected to drive safely and that they are responsible for driver inflicted damages to equipment. Drivers are notified that damage has been found and that they are responsible for it. There have been many instances where the company 'ate' the cost of the damages to the tune of multiple thousands of dollars. Like a driver doing a u-turn with a tractor trailer and turning so tight they crunch the cab extensions behind the sleeper with the trailer. It costs $2500.00 plus to repair this, not to mention the down time and lost revenue. Or drivers who do u-turns and scuff the trailer tires sideways and peel the tread off them or flat spot them. At $400.00 per tire it adds up. If you had to eat this cost as the owner of a company, you might be a little rude yourself. How about the driver who drove into the boulders at the truckstop and gashed open the fuel tank like the iceberg did to the titanic.$2700 dollars later for a new fuel tank, wrecker and hazmat cleanup. How about the guy who doesnt check trailer height before backing under to hookup the trailer and smashes the TK into the Tripac condenser fan.$247.00 for the fan, not counting labor or the TK doors. How about IDIOTS who have a fuel card in their pocket, designated fuel stops for fueling and run the truck OUT OF FUEL? Sometimes in the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD! After a $400 road service call we scratch our heads wondering, "How did THIS idiot make it through to get an assigned truck?" Not to mention the DANGER it causes to the motoring public and the road service guy. It is easy for you to slam the company and hide behind an alias. Tell me your real name and I'll tell your audience here what YOU did. How about it, got any balls? Come on, step up to the plate.

I worked at WAW and with Danny gor a brief time as a night city driver in 2012. It did not take me long to realize this was not a company I wanted to be a part of. Part of it may be the quality of drivers they hire but the company is no good. When you pay drivers obscene wages and treat them like some Pavlonian dog without a brain, you should expect to get what you get. If you ever wonder why you can't get and keep good drivers, look at how you run things. But, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. This is a businnes decision you have made long time ago as how you want your company to be so it will never change. And that's why I left. It's only a matter of time before something bad happens there and they get shut down. Typical old school trucking company. As for Danny, I don't know him from Adam personally, but he was the most professional guy, BY FAR, that I ran into there, and I think he needs to jump the Titantic. He's in a bad spot, and he will be the one that gets burned the worst when the inferno ignites.

I'll just say this. I was in a crunch for a job and found these folks on Craig's list. That should tell you one thing right there! I went in and filled out an application and during my interview which was the manager ken interrupted numerous times with a phone call about a lawsuit, flag #2, I surprisingly got hired and was told to report to orientation even before my drug screen came back plus I was never given a road test. Well after a little research I found the true reviews of the company. BTW krn said I could make around 900 dollars a week running to Miami and back. I never set foot back there and would rather let my power be turned off then to dry for this joke of a company.

I worked there for two months and walked away. Boss is rude to office help and worse to the drivers, local and long haul. Do yourself a favor and stay the hell away!!

I used to work for this company at a mechanic. In the better of two years that I worked for Guy, I have seen what drivers have put their trucks and trailers through. If youre gonna bash the company, you have either been fired or dont have the driving record they are looking for. Yes the trucks are not in the best of visual conditions, but they are trucks that have well over 1.5 million miles on them. With that many miles, do you really expect to have a shinny looking truck? They want to hire drivers that will do their jobs and do them safely without tearing up the equipment. New drivers get the, so to say, older trucks. As with the drivers that have been with them long and have done their job correctly, get the better of the trucks. As for the log books, last I knew just about 90% of the trucks are outfitted with Qualcom electronic logbooks. Yes Guy and his son's have a bit of an attitude, but when you deal with drivers that are complete idiots and tear up the trucks. It kinda comes with the territory. So to those that are reading the comments looking to see if the company is a good one to work for. Remember, no matter what company you work for. There will always be issues. If you keep your head right and do a good job, you get the good equipment.
P.S. I left to further my mechanic career, I would gladly go back to work for the Wortelmans at WAW Transport/Sunland Distribution of Florida/Shepard Transport.
