4.8 earthquake rattles Southeast Alaska
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.8 struck Southeast Alaska shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the Alaska Earthquake Information Center . The quake was centered in a remote area of Glacier Bay National Park near Muir Inlet and Glacier, about 31 miles west-southwest of Haines, according to the center.
