What is the update on Morningside and Wayne Robertson? Someone is leaving tracks all over town with web information. This information is exploding and some are telling all finally on this church and its pastor. The truth will come out.

I do not attend the church. I do know what's going on. All I will say is that a pastor is a sinner like anyone else.
Look in the Bible. Everyone is a sinner. Paul, the greatest Christian and preacher that ever lived persecuted and killed Christians before he was saved.
King David had a man killed.
Peter denied christ after telling him he wouldn't.
The list goes on. I am in no place to say anything.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
So who will throw first?

Listen, the pastor did sin. That is a fact. That's not the point. The problem is that Christians above all people are the most unforgiving and usually the ones who persecute other Christians who sin the most. Its ridiculous how bad Christians treat each other when they fall. Its sad.
As I said EVERYBODY sins.

So you are the” truth seeker” and you seek it by posting on a gossip page. So it really is not truth you are seeking, you are just wanting details so that you can assure yourself that you are better than everyone else. Every church in this country is led by a person of the Human race, which means a sinner leads every church, and all who attend the church are sinners. Bro Wayne is not perfect, but he is a better Christian than most I have ever met.
Those that left had a right to leave and in the long run Morningside will be better off with them gone. Unfortunately, the Churches that they went to will have to deal with some immature “Christians” who got their feelings hurt because their pride got in the way.
As for the tracts, the person(s) spreading them will just have to answer to God as to why they have time to hurt the cause of Christ when they could be spending that time speaking of the good Church they found when they left Morningside. It speaks more about their real Character and motives than they know. Pray for them.
To be clear, I am not a member of Morningside, but I know many of the members and I am praying for them and those who left.

These are the reasons Christians and churches names get worse and worse to the world and its harder and harder to lead people to God and church. We act worse than the secular world does with all this kind of mess. People wonder why churches and Christians get scoffed at when you try and witness and lead? This kind of crap. Act worse than them, like a bunch of elementary kids and why would someone want to become part of that?

You will find that MBC members are the most judging and gossiping people you will ever find! They hold grudges and do not ever let anything go. This starts from the leadership all the way down! This is why I left and plan to never go back.

You folks are in the middle of a snake pit in Valdosta with men like Wayne Robertson and Mike Everson and their disciples

Mike Everson destroyed my family, many other families, and many friends while at Prays Mill Baptist Church.

He is a very EVIL man who has yet apologize to anyone he attempted to destroy and humiliate.

Just google - Mike Everson - and you'll see what he did to us here at Pray's Mill Baptist Church here Douglasville Ga.

Happy Thanksgiving Mike Everson, Wayne Robertson, and all your blind disciples and supporters..... you bunch of Turkeys.

I actually went to the site: http://thecultbuster.blogspot.com/2011/03/pra...

And although I do not attend any of these churches mentioned in this forum anyone has stated, I do find the website very offensive. If you don't agree with a pastor or the staff of the church, move on to a church that you can and will support and where you can worship GOD which is what you are suppose to be doing if you are a true Christian. Regardless if you find a pastor not to your standards or to God's standards it is not your job as a Christian to judge them. Every human sins and the bible does state there are deceivers in this world, but whoever has come up with this website do you really think you are pleasing God by writing all this garbage regardless if it is true or not? Maybe the author should reevaluate his or her own life regardless if they feel like a pastor is deceiving others.

T IS not ABOUT THIS WEBSITE you posted ( even though it does have great and true articles ) or the writers, it is about the vipers in Valdosta deceiving unknowing christians and I am sure you know them personally. Read these articles and you'll get a clearer picture for sure though. Thanks for the site references.

This bunch from the Georgia Baptist Convention are nothing more than power hungry men who feed on the weakness of those that can't think for themselves.

Like Obama, someone needs to stand up against these Pharisees and STOP the madness.

The only thing they understand is money, so stop giving to them and give to the needy.

Signs of an abusive cult:
•Does your church tightly control the flow of information within its ranks?
•Does the head of your church, along with the other “elders”, use public shaming as a method to gain the compliance of followers?
•Does the head of your church and his “fellow elders” appear to be intolerant or consider it evil persecution when criticized or questioned?
•Are you discouraged to associate with former members, being warned that they are "evil" or "defiling"; a “danger to your spiritual welfare”?
•Is leaving your church to join another church that “is not approved by your elders” equal to leaving God?
•Do you fear being rebuked, shunned, or ignored for expressing a different opinion?
•At church, is there a sense of control, rather than support?
•Is there a relentless obsession of reminding the sheep of “who’s in authority”?
•Are you told not to ask questions as to why others have left? Are you told to accept the statements that “your elders” give you?

•Are books, tapes and CD’s, speakers, music, etc., carefully controlled to keep only the belief structure of your church before your mind?
•Is there is a relentless campaign to keep you around the activities of your church, expecting you to be at all the stated meetings, except if providentially hindered? And if you are absent, is your spirituality and dedication sometimes questioned?
•Is the concept ever so subtly present that,“when you please the 'pastor', God is pleased and when your 'pastor' is not pleased with you, God is not pleased with you?"
•Is there present, the breaking of even the closest family ties, to “guard” the flock?
•Is there the constant using of guilt and shame as tools of control?
•Is there present at your church the encouragement of the members to spy and report on each other, lest sin be found in the midst?
•Is there present at your church the dominant climate of fear in the group – fear of failing to keep one of the rules, and fear of being held up to public humiliation and rejection?
•At church, are the normal lines between what is private and what is public knowledge broken, and members confess the most personal, and the most minor sins, as the conscience is being surrendered to the “leadership”?

•Are many (if not all) of the results from voting at "congregational business meetings"
announced as..... "it is unanimous!"?
•Is questioning condemned as "whispering, back- biting, vicious slander, gossip, nit picking, signs of a proud rebellious spirit, being disaffected and divisive?"
•Are those who dissent publicly punished? Are their reputations murdered by veiled, or not so veiled “revelations” of “sins”; past and present, as confidentiality is broken for the benefit of the leaders?
•Is there a misplaced loyalty from Jesus and God onto the leadership, which is idolatry?
•Is there harsh preaching and full of condemnation for your failures and are you deliberately being kept wounded and off balance by the haranguing and condemnation from the pulpit?
•Is “Persevere or be damned” and “listen to YOUR elders; obey YOUR elders”; "submit to YOUR elders" preached over and over again?
•Is paranoia the “very air you breathe”? Paranoia of falling from grace; thinking for yourselves; breaking the many unspoken rules as well as the clearly spelled out expectations of the leader?
•Are you becoming paranoid – carefully watching your every word and even gesture, lest someone report your faults?
