I heard that the old one is full. I am more concerned about the new one and whether or not it has any room. We are a rather large plant. It would take alot of room for all our lines...

I dont think you have anything to worry about i think they might be getting a little full also i mean they have some more room but not enough for a whole plant.I think they have like 11 or 12 lines over there now and some of them are pretty big machines.takes alot of people to work on them.

well tha is good, I hope they don't close anymore plants down. I hate to see ppl lose jobs. I know we have a few ppl in there that are worried and then some just don't care but those are the ones who have spouses that have good jobs elsewhere. I kinda pisses me off when they make comments cuz I feel bad for those that are single parents or the breadwinner for their families. My heart really goes out to our brothers and sisters in Framingham, Mass.

hiii, if you ever want to come visit our neck of the woods, we have alot in the area. We are less than 2 hours from Washington and Baltimore. We are less than 10 minutes from Pennsylvania, West Virginia or Virginia. It is a great place to visit, but I will be glad when I don't have to live here...Maryland is very high tax state.. and that is a good reason for GHB to ask the state for some incentitives to stay here.

It is a mixture of both, but I am told I say worsh, Instead of Washington County, I say Worshington...we live pretty much on what they call the Mason/Dixon Line...that splits us between the north/south...but I would say most people around here have the northern attitude.. you don't find the Southern hospitality around here...lol

oh my, why do you think that is going to happen, management leaving? You all have had alot of accidents? It is hard to tell what is going on. I hate all the secrets. Maybe they are just going over safey in your plants..Where are most of the accidents in the old plant or new? Temps or full time employees? Good Luck keep us posted..I hope it all works out for you all.

as far as I know no management is leaving but you know what they say they will go first before us workers.just joking i hope noone goes anywhere.I am thinking that most happen at the new plant and they are full-time.usually operators or wrappers putting their hands where they dont belong. The last one happened one day this week an operator put his hand somewhere in the hopper and now they have guards up so they cant.see the last one was on a sticker trying to get a stick with their hand and not the right tool and there you go another accident. One was when a wrapper tried to pull a bar out of the pick up arms got her arm broke, now they have guards.some were slips or falls i think but mostly putting your hands in moving machinery!thats why I stopped being a wrapper by doing stupid crap like that and I knew i was going to get hurt because i did things before i thought.sure enough on my last night as a wrapper the sticker got my fingernail but it was time for me to go home and i never told anyone.(this was a few years back)see we dont think

hiii, do you or have you ever had their UniCare health insurance? That is what we had before the Union, now we have Blue Cross/Blue Shield. We have a really good policy, with a $10 co-pay. We also have LTD which we pay a small premium. Do you have a company store? We used to have a Christmas party but that stopped about 2 years ago and now we just have a celebration luncheon during work hours. Can you think of anything else?

we have our choice of unicare or blueshield,I use Blueshield we have a $25 copay it used to be 15% and I only paid 7.50 to see the dr. but they changed that after only 1 yr.I guess they were losing too much money. We have LTD if that stands for long term disability.WE still have a Christmas party everyyear. We have the company store. How many days do you get off for funeral leave. We used to get 5 days now it is cut down to 3 days unless you have to go out-of-town or your the one over everything for the funeral what is it called? I cant think right now.Thats what happens as I get older I forget things and i am only in my 40's I dread when I get alot older I wont remember anything

Unicare sucks that is the worst insurance..we get 5 days for funeral leave. Let me know what happens tomorrow. Good Luck

I have another question for you. This is something new they started this year.YOu have go out on leave for more than 12 weeks you have to reapply for your job.But our human resource guy stated only if they had to hire someone to do your job.It hasnt happened to anyone yet.We had alot of people abusing the system, see around here its see what you can get for free!sucks big time it makes the ones pay that doesnt ever go on leave and then all of a sudden they have an illness.but really I think they would look at your past history first but who knows.

we can be out for a year before we have to worry about losing our jobs. I know of a guy who has been out for 2 years and as far as I know he is still an employee. That is the whole purpose of LTD. I think it use to be 6 months but now a year. I am not up with the contract as well as GH-Hag. They seem to know more about it than what I do. I look at it only when I need to..12 weeks is only 3 months, what if your in a car accident or break a leg or something more serious like cancer, you have to worry about losing your job? Whew..now that is a little scarey..

I know we have a guy out who went in for surgery for cancer and he is worried plus we have a main mgr.who is out alot for cancer(he is only in his 30's) they said he is worried also.I really think they did that because we had lots of people playing the system.I take it they would still have a job at ghb but maybe not the same job they had for instance if they were an operator was out for a long time they trained someone in their place when they come back they might not have that same machine anymore is how i am taking it.but who knows. what hours do you work?
