A proposed Christian radio station with two towers could be up and running in Antrim Township before the year is out, according to a Hagerstown, Md., pastor.

Not ME - I don't have to listen to that guy from Johnnie's squeal like a pig anymore! Johnnie's will never get any of my money - ever - because he's so annoying. |

TRYYYYYYYYYYY BEFORE YA' BUYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! Yeah, I never understood that either. It's sort of the opposite of advertising - paying for radio time to REDUCE your customer base. |

The main word in the articles was, "conservative".
That doesn't mean politically speaking. That means music without drums, other percussion, lead, and other modern type music. Music is a terribly devisive issue in the church and to each his own I guess. But what we need around here is a "KLOVE" affiliate. Something that people under 50 would listen to. |

Oh Chris,
Got your ticket to hell already? You go right ahead. Talk out of your a** about a God who gave you life, breath and a chance to have all your sins forgiven. You go right ahead. Don't let me stop you. You're making a complete fool out of yourself all by yourself. A wonderful job! |

radio is still the most effective way to reach and target consumers.
direct mail has less than 2% response rate-internet works great if it is porno your selling-tv production is way expensive and spot rate the moon . of course this is if it is a good solid station that is clean and well run- radio can target demographics too- except rap -i would not even bother trying to sell to ganstra fools |

Some christian rock is actually pretty good...
"Jars Of Clay" are quite excellent http://www.jarsofclay.com/ |

Apparently there is a market for the type of programming the license holders have in mind. They will sell advertising in this area. Why? Because there will be listeners to the programs and businesses will want their advertisments to be broadcast to them.

Of course Christian radio is a benefit to the community.
Personally I like a top 40 type station, like KLOVE. This one apparently will be hymns and teaching. To each his own I guess. I'm not sure of the target demographics. WCRH is a low-key, offend no one type Christian station. they have all the major teachers but the music is a bit mundane for me. 88.3 tends about 75% too heavy. I'm going to make an assumption here, but I suspect this station is from a strict baptist church. To many baptists the use of drums and lead guitar are strictly verbotin. |

most christian stations have a message and not a harsh one-some are good for a community-that is diversity-
the rap and spainish narco corrida music is just to ruin kids minds and turn them into gangsters. to glorify violence is to condone and bring it about. it kills me to see local kids out here in the sticks listening to rap and acting like some black thug in new york and talking like them-after i start laughing they go away.i just wish they would go to ny and meet their idols-i bet they would drop the crap and run to the local college for an education. |

Monte mentioned advertising.
I don't know but I suspect they are non-profit and as such will not advertise. |

Oh, yuck...another WCRH-type BORING station!
Everyone knows that Baptists let guitars in church, but they're not allowed to PLUG 'EM IN !! |

christian and educationals-cannot run ads per se but they manage to raise money quite well with donations and fund raisers
i have had stations up for sale before that attracted mor serious buying interest from big religeous broadcasters than congloms. |
