The most beautiful , eloquent , Masterpiece ever written. Written with narratives, poetry, parables, epistles and prophecy. Written over thousands of years through the ages of time and is still the best selling book of all time. It tells of truth, wars, rebellions, falls, risings, love, prosperity, riches, famine, blessings, promises, eternity. It gives hope to hopeless and love to the broken hearted. It is the infallible written words of God to humanity.

These subjects are all a part of life too, so why not? One can also find demons and witches too in the Bible.

Hmmm The Bible! teaches us about everyday life as it is, GOD also teaches how "NOT" to murder, kill, torture, rape and so on! He teaches us to be the best we can be. The Bible is our guide book for us to follow. Its up to you to be one that read/study and follow the right path..

Even if The Bible were to be fiction and not the Word of God ,if we just follow the teachings in the Bible we will be a kinder, gentler and far more generous people. So what do you have to loose by following it? At least it gives you a guide line for living a good and prosperous life. If you choose not to that is your misfortune.

Does anyone smell dirty socks but me?

You have every right to believe whatever you wish, just as I do. I certainly am not so ignorant as to think for one second that God is telling us to kill unruly kids. I don't remember reading that in the Bible. It must be in The Old Testament if it is. I don't read that part as much as I do the New Testament because The New Testament is for us and The Old Testament was written to the old, Jewish Nation. That is my opinion and my belief. You certainly are entitled to yours. And before anyone even says it, no I do not think God is telling Jews of today to kill unruly kids.

Sorry endense, but I've never read anywhere about killing kids. Some were sacrificing children to Molech and Belial, which was wrong in the eyes of the Lord. Most of this you speak about was Old Testament . The Hebrews themselves were slaves to the Egytpians. Marrying a husband's brother was considered taking care of the women in those times. They weren't as fortunate as we are today in having options. They were not virgins, so no one wanted them. It was just the culture of the day. But to me .... The Bible is life giving and speaks to my soul. Everyone has their own opinion and you are sure entitled to yours.

You sound very well grounded in your Bible Cherie. I have to admit I am not as well read in it as you are. I commend you. As I understand it we are under the New Testament teachings. That does not mean that I do not read all the Bible because I do but I don't read it as much as I should.

I do have a working knowledge of the Bible and yes, we are under The New Testament teachings. The New Covenant which is in Christ and those that choose to follow Him. He done away with all the Laws of The Old Testament. The ones in which non- believers always choose to bring up. Some of it just gives me a chuckle.

So God made a mistake in writing the first testament? So he isn't a perfect being is what your saying? And he came back in the form of jesus to correct his mistakes? I have read the bible many times and it is not based on fact or the word of God but a collection of story written by murderers men who spent most of their adult life in prison. What I want to know is, when is the new laws to be written so all the errors in the newest testament can be fixed? Maybe the 3rd time god can get his shit together.

Well, one thing we can say for sure is there will be a time when all of us will know if we are right or wrong. Until then there is no point in arguing about it. Every one has the right to their own beliefs.

Do you read?, do you study?, do you believe in GOD?, if you don't believe in GOD you won't understand what the Bible says! You have to read and want to learn before you can understand. A blind eye can not see!

The fall of mankind began with Adam, not God's fault, which leads me to believe you haven't read the Bible many times. The only individual that comes to mind is Paul the Apostle which wrote most of the New Testament from a prison cell... The only thing he did wrong, in the eyes if the Romans , was preach Christ. Not going to argue with you. Either you believe or not... Simple as that.

Oh yeah. Non believers. And preachers and priests And the Pope. We all just bring up stuff from the old testament because we don't believe.
