Gonna have to agree with guess what, there is a time to write tickets and a tie not to. This is by far the time not to. There are many things to be doing as a police officer during this trying time.

Take a cue from Jim Blesson from Netcong PD, he was giving out free food to Netcong Hgts. residence yesterday.

Hey Charlie run this Morons IP address and watch the expression on his face when you knock on his door. That is what this piece of sheet needs ! Apparently you wrote him a ticket at one time or
hopefully arrested him. Keep up the good work.

Fema is not offering anything. Netcong is not considered a disaster area. I got my letter from fema today. so we are not getting help. Yes, I would like to know where is the mayor? I really think the adminstration doesnt give a shit. what about the Netcong school, you would think they would be working to restore power for the kids. Lenape now has power.

I have gotten more information about the power issues through the Byram Facebook page then our own. The mayor and town administrator from byram are keeping the people informed. There is a major issue that involves landing, Netcong, Stanhope, and byram. I found this out through byram information. They are sharing info with their towns people. The town administrator in byram is being relentless with jcpl. He has called them to task! He has at least shared his frustrations and information. The Byram mayor has been sending messages and updates through the schools honeywell system to keep the towin informed. What has our own town administrator and mayor done for us? Not a fan of our Emergency management person but I believe he and our chief of police are the ones coordinating the warming centers, flyers , etc. We have not heard a word from either our mayor or town administrator. This is the 12th day without power!

We are NOT being informed! If the mayor is working so hard we wouldn't know it because there are no updates! Hopatcong has been in almost total darkness but the mayor has been on news 12, and nj101.5...believe me I am not a fan of Petillo but guess what? THEY ARE GETTING POWER! Open a Damn shelter, offer warmth and food from one of the businesses that have been open. I'm cold, tired and disgusted as well as everyone else! Read a book? With what light you idiot? I guess you have power or the money to buy a generator AND keep it fueled. No freaking compassion for others.

This is a difficult situation! It seems as if Netcong has been forgotten. To hear 11 days after loss of power the Red Cross finally showed up is just wrong. I'm sure everything possible is being done by JCP&L but no emergency help from FEMA or the Red Cross is despicable! Basic heat and food in this colder area is not a luxury. Running generators, trying to find and afford gas is an insane option. Netcong has not even been mentioned on the News 12 channel! The DOT has made a huge mess of the roads. It is impossible to even drive in town. The train comes, traffic backs up through town and it takes 20 minutes just to clear! Now the school is Choice so others will send their kids to Netcong. This is for revenue but at least Netcong kids can also get out and have a choice. Too bad this will never help lower the outrageous property taxes.

Hey Guess What... They are giving out tickets because people are idiots and are not following directions. the cones are there blocking the intersections for a reason not for poeple to go around them as they please. They were put out there to protect people from getting hurt while the traffic lights are out. You must have been one of those people who thought u could do what you want. Charlie is a good cop just doing his job. Get over yourself.

The town's recovery in not yet complete. Few businesses in Netcong can afford to be closed for over a week. Payrolls can't be met and some folks won't be paid. It would be helpful if we all try to patronize local business and help them get back on their feet.

Chief Blesson was outstanding during this crises. He was the one that checked on people to see if they were o.k. It seemed like he was in town day and night, always taking phone calls from residents and keeping after the Power Company every day trying to get our power restored. He also made phone call to residents, stopped by on the streets to keep people informed and to see if they needed anything. He did an outstanding job in a terrible situation. He should be commended for all he did.
