Homeless numbers up

I've seen more homeless in the last few years than at any time in my life.

I happen to know one guy who is a ex-Marine with medical problems, can't find a job, and is homeless. He literally doesn't have a anywhere to go but to live outside in the elements.
And social services isn't even able to help him find emergency housing.

He only has less than $20 to his name, a $20 Shoprite certificate, and virtually no personal property.

This is completely unacceptable behavior in our society on so many different levels it's shameful.

His young kids live here with his ex, and he wants to be close to them no matter what happens.

I'm at a loss to tell him what to do, but the point I was trying to get across is that where is the necessary help for these types of people whether it be church or government?
I haven't heard from him recently, but hope he has found help from one of those groups somehow.

well, boo hoo I have had to hop on a plane more than once to make a living.
Try hoping on a plane with no money then....or better yet, hop-off while in mid-flight.

tell the bum to get a job and while you are at it, go step in front of a moving bus
Get a job?
You're a genius! He never thought of that.
Are you hiring?
No I didn't think so.

I don't step in front of buses, that's reserved for smart-asses like yourself.

Misdirected anger isn't going to help you become more civilized.

You don't even live around here trollman.

If you know they are out there all day then it is you that needs a job besides doing favors for your boyfriend.
Is that the best you can do?

OK, my friend got a job at Target.
He makes a whopping $52 working 15 hours a week.
Now what?

Settle for increasingly sh*tty jobs at increasingly lower pay?

Should I feel sorry for the rich who now make 350 times what labor makes, instead of the 20 times they made over labor in 1970?

Not a chance in hell.

There needs to be a radical paradigm shift in how the system works...
or you'll be next on the chopping block despite any precious ideology you have!
