R.I.P. Stanhope Fire Dept

R.I.P. Stanhope Fire Dept. Rumor had it that Jeff Jozowski won a court order and the judge is making the Fire Department take him back. Well at a Recent football game I heard Marie telling everyone that JEFFERY will be back at the fire house by the end of the month. She stated that she won the court case.

The members all voted and stated if we are forced to take him back we will all walk out. You are a Great bunch of guys and I hope you all stick together. I know you will all do the right thing you have been there for us for years.

I for one will no longer be giving a donation if he is allowed to be a firemen.

What he did was wrong. He's no better then that Crossing Guard in Netcong. How can a judge allow him to be a firemen again. He cost this town alot of money. I hear it was about $100,000. Just for the lawyers.

Are u kidding me? They shouldnt take him back...after what he did! If I was him he should have moved out of Stanhope. No one likes what he did! Stanhope Fire Department has always been a bunch of good guys and have always been there for this community. He has done nothing must spend alot of money for Stanhope! He should be ashamed of how he acted! See what happens when he gets many drinks in him...he becomes a real idiot. I could use more nasty words but I wont stoop to his level! Oh I will tell you if you dont know already!Jeffrey Jowzowsi said something unapproiate to a young teenage girl! It was totally uncalled for and it was disgusting! He is old enough to know better! His mouth always gets in trouble! If a firemen's daughter, cant come stop by to see their father at the firehouse to say hi or have a soda with them, without some idiot to say something out of context to someone's daughter. So can anyone tell the TRUTH. Something BAD must have happened if a member of our fire department was removed? Can we read the court papers somewhere?

He did say something to a young man! But he did say something horrible about that girl! Would u want someone to say something nasty about your daughter! No, I didn't think so! He should apologize to that young man and that young girl! This is Marie I know it! It sounds like u! Yes and I have had some drinks but have never said anything that freakin horrible! Jeff has always had a drinking problem and so has his whole family! So if he wants to try to go back there he better straighten up!

Let me ask you this? Why did you have a Brian Murphy sign on your lawn? That guy is a drunk and never did a thing for Stanhope Council! Have u seen him lately? Nice pony tail and his red shoes and he looks dirty! Plus the cops have been to his house quite a few times! And he 's going to be our councilman. Stanhope is in real trouble. Too bad Mike Depew lost to that big train wreck! Wonder what he will do for Stanhope in the next three years?

Stanhope firemen always used to be there to fight their own fires! So why would Jeff want to go back if Netcong supposedly fights all the fires? Membership is down and it is sad! It used to be a great place to belong to. I dont wish bad on your husband or your family. I just want him to apologize and remember never tosay something nasty like that again. People make mistakes...everybody does I hope he learns from it! By the way you have a very nice son. I heard he wants to join the firehouse. Good luck to him! These kids today need to belong to things otherwise they get into trouble. Best of luck to you and your family!

This isnt marie. this is the son. but nice try. and if you know your story you would know he did apologize. and WHAT WERE U THINKING- i am a nice kid. but i joined netcong fire department because when i went to aply at stanhope they told me that i had to be 17 when on the town webdite it says jr. members only have to be 16.

Everyone is only telling 1/2 the story. This is the why I voted to remove him.

About 5 years ago there was a sweet 16 party at the firehouse. There was also a few members and their family in the bar area. Two 15 year old boys one whose father is a member went into the bar area to check on the score of the football games.

Jeff found out the one of the boy was dating another firemens daughter. Thats when he started asking graphic sexual questions about the boy and his girlfriend. Everyone know Jeff never liked this other firemen and his family. Members kept asking Jeff to stop asking the questions but he just laughed and kept on going.

The boys left the bar and returned to the party. They told the girl what Jeff had said. There was a complaint filed to the firehouse.

There was then a meeting beteen Jeff, Board members of the fire department and Council Members. Jeff was FIre Chief and is a sworn PUBLIC OFFICIAL this is why the Council was present. He told everyone the he was NOT apologizing to anyone cause he did nothing wrong.

The fire department voted to suspend him. There was a letter written to him advising him to return the FIRE DPEARTMENT owned Command Vehicle. He refused. Members went to his house in an attempt to get the truck. NO one would answer the door. Both Jeff and Marie could be seen inside the house laughing at the members waving to them but would not answer the door. It wasn't until the President went to the Courts to file charges against Jeff the he returned the vehicle, but he kept all the equipment. We use to get the finger from both Marie an Jeff when we would go past there house going to and from calls.

The lawyers got involved and alot of money was spent fighting something that could have been ended with a SIMPLE I'M SORRY APOLOGY to both the boy and his family and the girl and her family. But no Jeff is way to big of a man for that.

So 5 years later this Department has spent about $95,000 in donations form the residents of Stanhope, We have lost members and 2 teens have a new look at how firemen act when they drink to much. On yah Jeff will soon be a firemen again causing just like this one 5 years later.

This is why I voted the way I did.
