I just wanted everyone to be aware, if you are planning to rent an apartment in the Riverside Garden Apartment, just know that I had bed bugs and it was a infestation of bugs. Only living there for alittle more then a year, and this was the third time they came in to spray and never come back to do the follow ups. The bugs this time were horrendous, enough to make me have to leave my apartment and the the man who manages the property wouldn't put me and my family up at a hotel, he simply said to close the bedroom door and have everyone sleep on the floor in the living room. He refused to return the security deposit and the rent I paid for the month that I had to leave early from. If you saw these bed bugs and the bedroom walls you would never want to rent from there. They really need to do the right thing there.

There needs to be some serious changes in the way property owners handle this Bedbug problem but the common way is to stay quiet and try to lay blame on the tenants. GERBER SOMA who owns many apartments and manage many condo buildings participates in this practice of " don't ask don't tell" which is very dangerous to the building and it's tenants. They manage a building in north bergen nj in which a tenant has had bugs since may 2010 ( the Dept of Health told informed me ) since then the other units are slowly but surely becoming infected and they did not do anything nor inform the other tenants of this problem. They also allowed new tenants to move in right below the infected unit without their knowledge starting In September w an adjioning apartment found bugs- even then gerber soma failed to inform the tenant that his neighbor had been infected all along and failed to cooperate with the clean up since May. Now the entire building is becoming infected and still Gerber Soma denies the problem and will not treat the entire building. As the tenants leave they will continue to stay quiet and allow new tenants in without informing them too and that is how this problem persist- IF you rent or own any units that this company owns or manages, I suggest you ask them about this problem and do some research because they will try to blame you and not inform you of the problem and how it originated
