Led Zep is the greatest band of all time. Kennedy Center honors. My favorite song: Ten Years Gone.

Undeniably the most intelligent, innovative, and fearless rock band of all times. Most of their songs are masterpiece.

Best band of all time? Probably, I think the live releases are where I come to this conclusion, the albert hall gig or in my time of dying at earls court.... magic! I cant get enough and there is always something new I find when listening. It is truly powerful music. But so is the stones and the who and the kinks and sabbath an...... there is so many but yeah zep still is top of my chart. About acca dacca, Angus was at the zep concert at sydney showgrounds (so was my mum) and he said zep played 1hour of solid rock and 2 hours of boring shit, he said that it was sickening and didnt rate them too highly, AC/DC was more an influence of Chuck Berrys classic rock which was personified in a ballistic balls out high fire rapid rythym that smacked you in the face and made you bang your head like no tomorrow, a different breed all together, but still worthy of a place in the top bands of all time. Zep and ACDC are both right up there.

Really? AC/DC, fronted with great Bon Scott didn-t followed any Zep!! DC beat Zep in live performances.
No talent? Just three cords? C-omon! DC didn-t took so much from others artists, like Zep did.
It is much more easy to be geniouse, if you took so many from others...
Come on...AC/DC is a great band, and I enjoy many of their songs ( Sin City, Hells Bells, Thunderstruck) But could you really listen to one song repeated on an entire album for 40 minutes?! And at least Led Zeppelin actually tried to expand and vary their sound (and lyrical themes) so that their shtick didn't get completely tired past the first three songs on an album. AC/DC was actually influenced by Led Zep!(not to mention the Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Black Sabbath, etc...a lot of bands get their ideas from others, even AC/DC.) Even the Ramones, masters of three-chord punk rock, had the audacity to widen their palette. Look, what it boils down to is this: If you like fun, wild, balls-out rock n roll with songs about nothing but sex, boozing, and women, then listen to AC/DC. If you want something a little more introspective, varied, and spiritual, listen to Led Zep. Don't get me wrong, AC/DC is a very good band, IMO, but I do get tired of people thinking they are the greatest at everything and thinking that there was no good music before they came along.

Pink Floyd were much better. They had a better range of styles. Led Zeppelin were all: HEY LISTEN TO ME WHINE AND LISTEN TO ME SHRED MY GUITAR.
Oh, I thought you were talking about AC/DC...

Pink Floyd are great, the who are great, the doors are great, the stones are great, the Beatles are great, but Led Zeppelin are the best. Led Zeppelin always did good albums compare to pink Floyd who suck without Roger Waters. The Doors did good songs, but nothing near led zeppelin. Almost the half of the Beatles song werent good they only fill the albums. The stones were good in the 60's and in the beginning of the 70's. How many band were influenced by led zeppelin? Yes they took blues songs and lyrics but everybody do this and they made very great songs with them. Led Zeppelin were the best. That's it nothing to argue. Jimmy the second best guitarist (after Hendrix), Bonham's the best drummer ever, Plant is one of the 5 best singer ever and JPJ is in my opinion the best bassist with Geddy Lee. All in the same band. All good songs. All good albums. 1968-1980 but still the best and always be the best.
Jimmy Page is one of the best guitarists, no doubt about it. But can we retire the term "greatest guitarist ever"? It's getting pretty old. IMO, the Stones never put out a bad album in the 60's or 70's. I always ranked Keith Moon equal to his old friend Bonzo in terms of drumming ability. Agree with you on RP, and also I've always liked JPJ (he shares my birthday, January 3rd). Presence I felt was rather weak, but it's still a good album. Other than that, I completely agree with you, Led Zep is one of the greatest bands ever!

Led Zeppelin had the best line up in music history...John Paul Jones is considered one of the best musicians...late John Bonham tops nearly EVERY best Drummer list...Robert Plant has the best and most recognized voice in rock history...Jimmy Page; the mastermind behind this legendary band needs no introduction at all...They were even better than the Beatles in that way..
