There was a young man traveling via walking through our lovely God fearing town of Texhoma tonight. He stopped at Taylors for a rest. A few of our town's teenagers bought him some food and gave him a few dollars but they were still worried that he had no place to stay. These kids were willing to get together and buy this man a room. The local motel said the man could not stay unless he had a driver's license and a background check. Fair enough. One of the kid's mothers said she would get the police to do a background check. The lady at the motel rudely interrupted and said, "That will take all night and the front desk is closed!" So, the mom asked if she knew of any ministers or anyone to call to help this young man. The lady at the motel said, "Not at 11:30 at night! Well, I didn't know being a "good christian" had a time limit. Thank God for our local police officers who eventually helped this young man. As for the less than good samaritan at the local motel, you should be ashamed to call yourself a christian. People like you are the reason Jesus was born in a stable!

The ONLY reason I got on Boise City Topix to see if there were any motels to stop at on my way to Colorado in two weeks or.

I see there is not so will have to make it on to Raton or Springfield! So much for Boise City.

From the first post, this happened in Texhoma, not Boise City. I am very impressed by the fact that teenagers were trying to help him. Usually people only hear when teens are in trouble, this was refreshing. I think the majority of teens today are ones we can be proud of, this proves it. To the parents of these kids: Good job! And to the teens themselves: I am impressed and proud of you.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Gemini

You're full of empathy and compassion today, helping you tune into what's going on around you, and to know instinctively when someone needs your support. You're also prepared to hand out a second chance if someone's recently let you down. At the moment you have no interest in holding grudges, because you know you're bigger than that.
