Rhomboids latest snafu.....

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what,” Romney says in the video.“There are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it.”

My response is. Only 47% depend on government? I cant speak for others but I do depend on the gov for a lot of things:
- mail
- public schools
- bridge and road maintenance
- policemen
- firemen
- libraries
- keeping our country safe from enemies
- providing for the bonafide impoverished
- healthcare when I get old
- social security

I get all of this, and a lot more with the taxes they take. Am I not justified in my entitlements when I sacrifice my most precious gift-TIME- to pay for these things? According to Romney, I should just pay into a system and expect to get nothing in return. Sounds like a business man to me, more accurately, a slot machine.

Usps is beyond broke. Public schools are horrible. Bridges and roads rougher than ever. Keeping us safe? Tell that to the ambassador to Libya. Social security and medicare are both going broke. Providing for the bonafide impoverished? Yeah, and the lazy welfare for lifers. Libraries still open? Wow, how pathetic if you actually need to use a library. And finally police and firefighters, hope ya don't have to call either.

So that is what you depend on? It must suck being you.

My post didn't mention anything about the quality of those services. Neither did Romney. Why have you?
BTW, FYI, USPS is restructuring. Some public schools are better than others- its always been that way.
Bridges and roads always need upkeep- Obama's plan for enhanced infrastructure development got nixed by the GOP because they could ill-afford him being directly responsible for creating even more jobs during an election year. SS and Medicare are both fine, just another divisive wedge issue the GOP uses in a desperate attempt to scare the weak-minded. Maybe reading a book in your world is pathetic or viewing free movies or providing internet access to those who cannot afford computers a quick trip to communism, but on my planet ( that's the planet Earth if you didn't know)libraries are cool. Some police are good, some not so good, so nothing new there. You actually dissing the fire department?

You forget that coal miners are a VERY small portion of the populace. They don't matter when it comes to the elections.

It's as off topic as the OP. You know he meant the dole, not infrastructure and the like.

Your opinion is he "keeps sinking himself." All he did was infuriate those who weren't voting for him anyway, like you. He also solidified the vote of many others by saying it. I guess the man "keeps sinking himself" into a true battle for the presidency, when he wasn't even supposed to have a chance. Funny how that happens, isn't it?

Oh well, the truth is always going to piss someone off.

Truth?
Does your side know what that means? There's a reason that 47% don't pay income tax. And yes it's income tax that's being discussed. Most of those people pay payroll, sales, property, etc... Taxes.
About a third of the 47% are elderly or kids with summer jobs. The others are people who get credits like the credit you get for having kids or the earned income credit. Both originally GOP ideas. Some are the working poor who make less than 16000 a year. Yeah. Let's stick it to those guys. There's also millionaires. That's rich. Pun intended. About 7000 millionaires paid zero income tax last year.
Let's just focus on the poor though. Job creators shouldn't pay taxes. Even though they aren't creating any jobs. Thanks teabaggers for being such idiots.

usps is losing $8,000,000,000.00 per year, you call that "restructuring"?

The dept. of education has spent $500,000,000,000.00 since its inception, and test scores haven't improved one iota.

Obama got his stimulus thru, remember all the "shovel ready jobs"?

Ss and medicare are fine? Gop scaring the weak minded? So why did Obama claim his healthcare act added 8 years to the life of medicare if it's "fine"?

Last point: pay close attention dumbdumb, if you have to call the police or fire department, 99.9% of the time it's not gonna be a fun joyful conversation, you're most likely in desperation mode, which isn't good, that's why I posted hope you don't have to call'em, I didn't insult the police or fire dept.

There isn't one word in your rant thats even close to anything real or even makes logical sense. It must really suck being you. BTW, yes you DID insult the police and fire dept.

Daily Horoscope for May 19

Leo

This is a good day for concentrating on activities that boost your self-esteem and sense of satisfaction. Do the very best job you can manage, partly for your own sense of pride and partly because it's important for you that bosses and superiors know what you're capable of. There should be good news about a pay rise, perk or a new job that's in the pipeline.
