These campaign signs that are all over the roadways are distracting to motorists who are trying to read every last one of them. They even slow down to read the stupid things. Don't we get enough of bashing the other guy on T.V.

Mr. TEAL HAS A SORRID HISTORY GOING FROM ONE PARTY TO THE OTHER TRYING TO BE ELECTED. THE BEST POSITION FOR HIM IS IN THE ANIMAL CONTROL DEPARTMENT. TALK ABOUT "DUMB A ROCK"

I don't see what it matter how many site/web addresses someone has, takes, makes up. I think there is bigger issues out there to fight about. He has to much money to take someone to court over a web site.

yeah these signs are every where, do they come back and take them down NO, so they get knocked down by wind, or ect... and they clutter up Guntersville, and every city.

Campaign signs are illegal on public right of way and you can legally take them down without fear of repercussions AS LONG as they're on PUBLIC right of way... What really irks me is I saw a political sign for a board of education member (in jackson county, and yes i know this story is about marshall county) attached to a volunteer fire department... I thought that was completely illegal, since its on a publicly owned building. I'm not one of these people that takes down signs though, or I would've taken it down and thrown it away. Back to the subject, the bad thing about election time is there are going to be the slamming campaigns, everyone putting each other down, showing the bad sides of all of the candidates. Maybe there should be a law enacted where they eliminate the smear campaigns, that would be a good start :)

Sounds like Mr. Teal might be interested in the free reverse lookup at http://www.IPinMYpants.Com which would have revealed the 19 domain names to him immediately.

These actions just lost 2 votes from my household. Although I can not vote for Ed Teal, I will not vote for Scott because of this. He and Mr. Gibbs need to focus on the job they are paid to do and not elementary foolishness. Scott has always been afraid of oppostion. He should let his experience and job speak for itself. Did he really think Ed had a chance to beat him? Even if what Doug did is not illegal, it is unethical and shows a lack of morals.

How much have the taxpayers of the county spent on Walls' meth election ads? The little fat crook and his henchmen must go.

The anti-meth signs were a great idea until Walls added his name to it. This made it a campaign sign at the taxpayer's expense. For his chief deputy to have done this is just a little more insight into their (lack of) character. I can't believe they didn't think this would blow up in their faces. People get sick of the dirty tricks and there is already a great deal of anti-incumbent sentiment out there this year.

If you took the time to research the project, you'd find out it wasn't county money; it's a federal drug enforcement grant. The same is true of the traveling meth awareness trailer; and, the trailer has used to educate a significant number of children and adults - you should try it then maybe you wouldn't complain. Or, do you think it's requires less tax money to just put them is jail?

RCL, Tax money is tax money no matter what fund it comes from. Why does an anti meth campaign paid for with my tax dollars have to be the Scott Walls - whatever it is? I hope Scott Walls is defeated. I worked for Marshall County years ago when Holcombe was sheriff. I remember Ed Teal and would vote for him if I could. I do not live in Marshall Co.

Taxpayer money is paying for the ads. A man with any integrity would have taken himself out of the ads until after the elections.
walls is just using them, as a cheap means of adversting his campaign for re-election. We in Marshall should keep the broom sweeping clean and vote against walls.

to assume Gibbs acted on his own without input, orders or discussion with Walls is what got us into the mess we are in in Washington - assuming O'bama would govern from the center, assuming Congress would do what was best....truth is Walls will get away with it

I hope ED TEAL wins just because of the way doug & scott acted,and if you think scott did'nt have any thing at all to do with this, you are stupid.and I also hope the new sheriff stops the shaving of mens hair ,what a POWER TRIP ,lets end the halcomb era.;

It all reminds me of the old days when candidates would pay drunk, smelly hobos to pass out their opponents campaign fliers door to door.
